After renovating 12 houses I don't put tape on windows. Just paint as carefully as you can and leave to dry a day or so. Then use a paint scraper with a new blade and slide across glass towards frame to remove any smudges. Gives perfect straight lines every time, super quick with no chemicals or mess.

I’m definitely going to give this a go next time! The only thing is we have years old white paint from the previous owners all over the windows too. Will a scraper take those off easily too?

Yep. I put a little soapy water on the glass and it slides beautifully removing all the old paint spots on old windows. Good luck, it works but is a tedious job (listen to some good music or an audiobook! )

Yay, I'm watching this morning and you are at 7.01k subscribers. Congratulations. A steady hand is all you need, you just have to own it and if a bit of paint does go on the glass, you just scrape it off later (after using a swear word at the time lol). Love how you have kept the gunmetal natural colour of the window and door furniture, although it is original, you never see them like that, they are always painted. Love the marble for the bathroom, agree that it is timeless as you dont want to be redoing the rooms every few years as stuff will look dated. The tennis - so funny. Graham had me in tears again. I have a great chateau joke, but not suitable for here. Where does Danielle come from? The giveaway is the way she says Bath. My Son in Law says it the same way. I dont think Jake and Graham say it the same way.

I think it will look good because the color scheme is so classic and clean, like the mirror. But, hang it as is and live with it for a bit. You can always paint it later. But right now it is unique and makes an elegant style statement. If it is all gold it will be just another mirror.

Just a thought...you may wish to consider using a razor blade to score around the window - first - and then try to peel the liquid masking tape off the glass. :)

That’s exactly what we did JD 🥰 it was just the paint attached to the sticky glue would then continue to peel paint off the door that wasn’t on the glue. 🙈
