Hello! I stumbled across your channel having watched another chateau restoration video and I've been binging on them! Your vision, skill, style and attention to detail is just inspirational. What a lovely family! Consequently, I looked up availability and no rooms are available until January 2027!! So, it's obviously going really well which is great. All best wishes, Paddy.

everything is beautiful, I can see the hard work you put into it. But... it is not to my style, too "industrial" as you said, too much grey, not enough pictures or mirrors on the wall, too stark. Good luck with your continued renovations.

If this was a classified historical building,there should be an assigned curator to advise you about what you can do to preserve the authenticity of the building inside and out .We have never seen one,instead we have seen your horrendous bad taste .I personally will take charge to informe the local hotel de ville.

Wow, how brave to decorate and furnish a french chateau on a dime. I doubt guests will want or appreciate 'industrial or modern" when they visit a french chateau. I can only imagine french guests thoughts. Guests will expect updated french country antiques or well made reproductions. There is so much new yet old furniture, wall treatments, window coverings and bath fixtures available that are replicas of antiques and they do not have to be ornate. Purchasing a well made dresser that you could refinish and add sinks with elegant curved faucets is an idea. Maybe go to a french furniture upholsterer who would love to show you antiques being reupholstered and antique looking fabric that is french and modern. Nice effort.
@ChateaudeBruges6 ай бұрын
@@justice4USA contrary to your unwanted and uneducated guess as to what people want, our guests and local French people who have visited the chateau are in fact very very happy with the decoration and quality of the renovation and furniture. Not every chateau needs to be a museum. Although, I’m sure if you have an ounce of ability and money to do anything on this scale you would have done it and done it to your taste already. I guess that the fact your are here suggests that you have neither of those things. Do try better next time! 😉

After reading some of the other comments, I can see more clearly two other things that might help you. To make the really big money you really do need to keep trying on KZbin. So - you have good KZbin skills, but probably need individual microphones. People watch chateau vlogs for two things. One is involvement with the owner’s stories and lives. Two is some history and involvement with vintage garnishments. You do a great job at rehab, but viewers do the same things on their own homes. Rehab in a chateau needs to involve more historic garnishments. You are not the only chateau with this problem - the others that are not growing have that problem too. And, lastly, your income from events and people attending your chateau will stay at a lower price level if there is not more vintage quality to what you are doing. That may be OK with you, but it would be a shame. You are capable of better than that. None of this is said for any reason but to help you. I was a marketing consultant before I retired and am only wish you well. I admire your business decision, but think you are missing some answers to your questions.
@charlotter.morrill65037 ай бұрын
We understand. And we will not go away. It does take hard work and a long time. I don’t know why your audience had not grown larger, faster - possibly because there are so many chateau projects now. Your decision seems obviously a thoughtful one. This kind of publicity, while a hard slog, is how to grow an audience and build your business, so I trust you will not entirely give up, and hope to see you as often as you feel up to it. So, not good bye, and, as Stephanie, at Lalande, says, A demain. And, if you have not been to visit her, I would encourage you to invest in a night or two there. Good things will come.

I have to say, from a subscriber’s point of view, how much I, and other viewers, I appreciate the organization and clarity you bring to this enterprise. I have been enjoying several other chateau vlogs for a long time, and have NEVER, seen ones as easy to understand ad yours. Quite often one watches the restoration of a room for months without ever seeing its exact location or all parts of the room. There is one kitchen renovation, a very nice one, I think, but do not know, as they have never shown us the other side of the room. So I am glad to subscribe and wish you well!

Of the two rooms nearest the dining room maybe one room for a library/games room and the other for a tv/sitting/cocktail room. Please don't serve breakfast in the salon, you have a dining room. Love the inclusion of the floor plan as you tour. It keeps me from much confusion.
