Went to this Grandys all the time. Enjoyed it alot wish it never closed. They had just repainted it before they closed. Loved the breakfast buffet and the double chicken fried steak meal. Sucks they closed.

I grew up going to the Grandy's on south cooper st in Arlington by I20. They had the best honey biscuits and greasy chicken. Sad that they are gone.

I used to go to this Grandy's ALL the time when I was in high school. The drive-thru wasn't there at the time, but that was around... 2006-2007 I think? The addition of that drive-thru just looked SO dumb when I saw it again coming back to Denton.

Lived in Denton for 20 years, me and my wife loved going to Grandy's. I sure miss it. Another place I miss is Stuckey's. When I traveled I would at every one I seen.

That Grandy’s was there in the late ‘70s when I was a student at TWU. I seem to remember it was originally Granny’s but they had to change it. One of the girls on my dorm floor worked there and would bring a huge box of chicken and rolls when she got off work. So good when you’re a starving college kid. The dining room area was added in the 80s I think and then the drive through in the 2000s. The one out by the mall was built in the early/mid 80s. They had the best breakfast buffet.

I am not sure where you are exactly but right when you enter Saginaw there was a Dairy Queen back in the 90's then it changed to something else. I don't remember what it changed to after Dairy Queen.

We have an old Grandy’s building in Joplin, MO. It’s been heavily modified though and you can’t tell it was. It’s a place called Mythos now. Grandy’s closed probably in the mid to late 90s there so it had been closed for a long time.

It went downhill. The cinnamon buns used to be 3 " thick, but last time I went it was barely an inch. The quality just fell. When they first came out it was the kicking place. Always busy. High quality. Tasty. Good portions...

I miss Grandy’s! The had the most delicious rolls and chicken. Now I have to drive 3 hours to Victoria to eat Grandy’s. It’s about time for a road trip for some chicken. 😋

Nope. IHOP and Dennys are still open. At least in Denton anyway. I used to eat at this Grandys once in a while. I haven't really missed it.

Moore Oklahoma has one, Southwest Oklahoma City has a Grandy's and War Acres Oklahoma has a Grandy's, they're all within a 20 to 30 minute drive from each other.
