Lots of memories for me at that dealership. That is where I bought my first car in 1996. It was a used 1995 Cavalier. As soon as I saw it I knew that was the car. 1995 was the first year of the redesigned look. I loved that car. Had a 10 disc Cd changer in the trunk.

The Buick Encore went on sale at the end of 2012, the Regal was sold from 2010-2020, the Verano from 2011-2017 and the Enclave of that generation from 2007-2017. The convertible, the Cascada, was sold from January 2016 to June 2019. It's safe to say that this dealership closed some time in the year 2016, possibly early 2017. About 6 years of abandonment, looks pretty good. Most buildings still aren't very decayed yet at 6 years abandoned, though. August 1, 2022 2:14 am

I think Saturn had some great vehicles and there are many still on the road. I loved my Pontiac Grand Prix. It was the 40th anniversary GTP💜 A drunk driver hit and totaled it one night. Beautiful car and I miss it!! I enjoyed this video🙂

The fact that the river is directly behind the building makes it the perfect spot to open a boat sale and service center. All you would need to do is clear out the trees, put in a dock and a boat ramp. That seems like it would be pretty easy to do.

I own a 2004 Saturn VUE AWD V6. Just hearing the words Saturn Dealership just gives me excitement of seeing an abandoned one. My local one here was repurposed into a Mitsubishi Dealership sadly after being abandoned since Saturn went out of business. Love the car and the company but sad at its demise.

Of the vehicles Buick was making that Wallie mentioned (that'd be the 2016 lineup except for the imported from China Envision midsize crossover) only the Enclave large crossover and (until 2022) the Encore subcompact crossover are being made and sold for US. An updated version of the Verano (Summer in Spanish) compact sedan is still being made in China for that market (largest seller of Buicks worldwide). The Cascada compact convertible was the first car ever imported from Poland to US (built by Opel at the time and sold with the same (waterfall in Spanish) name. It hasn't been built for anywhere since the year before GM sold the Opel and Vauxhall brands and factories to PSA Groupe, now Stellantis (today's Chrysler's owners).

i live by there, i moved to rochester in oct 2012 and it was in business for a couple yrs, so i think it closed around 2015ish, people go back there to go fishing on the beaver river, a homeless guy was living back there a couple summers ago.

Before Wright owned it, it was Friend Pontiac and Dodge. The Dodge franchise that Friend bought came from Bob Stout Dodge . Stouts was where the court house is in Beaver. Corner or Market st. And Fourth.

Hey Wallie, if you're in Tennessee at some point, there's an abandoned Save-a-lot in Millersville and an abandoned Waffle House about a quarter of a mile from the Save-a-lot.

I always thought this was a strange location for a car lot, stuck in between the Beaver river and a railroad trestle. It was Friend before being bought out by Wright automotive group. Their original location was in Beaver or Rochester and they originally sold Dodges. BTW, I wish I could say I'm a GM fan but I'd be lying if I did 😔

I'm personally not a GM person, I have mixed feelings for them but it's good that you love your Chevrolet and Pontiac and you're also right. GM is the ultimate king of rebadging. Take a Chevrolet Silverado. Basically what GMC does is throw on the GMC badge and the Sierra badge and call it a day. Pretty cool that there is also an old Pontiac label scar. I actually have a dealership in my area that, according to Google Maps, was a Saturn dealer at one point but when Saturn closed up in 2011, it turned into a Kia dealer. And also they don't make the Buick Verano, the LaCrosse, or the Regal anymore, sadly. It's all SUV's now because that's what everyone buys. There are some SUV's I like but I'm more of a sedan person. I grew up on sedans. We own a 2007 Toyota Yaris sedan and that car I call my childhood car because we brought that car in 2006 and I was born in 2008. We also used to own a 2008 Ford Focus that we got rid of in 2016 because it was over-heating and then we bought a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage that we got rid of back in March of this year, and then we bought a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL. Our Yaris is still around even though we mainly drive the Elantra because our Yaris's air conditioning needs to be fixed and the Elantra's a newer car and my mom commutes to work in it every day. Our Yaris currently has over 175,000 miles and the Elantra currently has 13,000 miles.

I think the garage part is storage for some reason. Maybe the people trying to lease it out are doing that. Seeing its been like this for years could be why. I know of a old school that some rich guy uses as storage in my home town. Its always sad to me things that could be resold or used just sitting in places to just go to waste.

My dad loved Buick cars and when he had to have a heart transplant in 2005 and got a settlement he gave us his 1993 Buick and we loved that car it was a black cherry color and my hubby worked at a body shop also and he ended up blacking out one day driving down the road because he was a really bad heart patient and totaled out luckily it didn’t kill him at the time but my uncle worked at a car dealership back in the 80s for over 20 years and back then that was Subaru so my dad always had to have a ton of cars he always had like five in the driveway at one time...🚗🚙🏎🚕🚓🚘🚖🚔🚗🚙🏎🚕🚓🚘🚖🚔🚗🚙🏎🚕🚓🚘 and I recently got rid of my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville so I love cars my very favorite was a 1976 Datsun B210 five speed and I love Volkswagen bugs I once had a very rare automatic Volkswagen bug that never had a clutch it was pretty wild I wish I still had that one❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Well I wish you luck tonight winning the billion dollar lottery draw I would love to play but in Utah we don’t have a lottery unfortunately🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

Yeah I got a 2000 Grand Am GT. Use that as my daily and got a 2018 Dodge Challenger for leisure driving. It is a shame they got rid of Pontiac but unfortunately GM couldn't finance their money well and Obama had to bail them out. Oldsmobile particularly their older 60s and 70s vehicles were great, back during the muscle car Era. Carmakers are too afraid to experiment or bring back older car designs.
