Former Magic Johnson Movie Theatre. Abandoned. This former movie theater was one of my favorite places to explore simply because of its history. I was aware of what happened with AMC and Magic Johnson, who was unsuccessful at purchasing the Greenbriar Mall, but I didn't expect to see one in person. Obviously the letters and a few pieces of signage/architecture of its days as a Magic Johnson Theatre are gone, but most of it remains. This theatre was nothing short of massive, and was able to offer 12 cinema screens (hence the name) and boasted an impressive capacity of 1,000 seats. It opened in November 1996, and closed in 2011, ending its 15 year run. At first, I was tempted to leave the Greenbriar Mall without filming the theatre because of the virus shutdowns forcing movie theaters to close their doors temporarily. However, when I went to look for any signs stating its temporary closure, there weren't any. Game time! This building is a walk back in time, and it's unfortunate to see these companies and businesses who saw their success in times that have come and gone. Thank You All for Watching, and Thank You for Choosing Zee Mann!
