I grew up in Columbia, SC so I'm familiar with the location. That Hardees was there for decades. Dutch Square Mall is at the top of the hill behind it. There used to be a Kmart across the street from it in the '80s and '90s (my mom bought me Michael Jackson's Thriller album from there in '82 for my fifth birthday). There's now a car wash and Newspring Church there. Schlotzsky's right next to it is located off Bush River Rd. Good upload. Blast from the past.

Hardee's playgrounds were fully equipped back in the day. Slides, swing sets, jungle gyms, the works. The one I used to frequent (ironically on Saint Andrews Road in Columbia) had a playground. I remember them having a gaint slide. The slide itself was made of plastic and metal. So during the summer, it was usually closed because kids would have burned asses if they tried to slide down it.

The narrow door there reminds me of the sliding doors that used to be at the Hills/Ames stores - so narrow and small!

👍👍👍 I'm glad that you didn't get stung by those bees. Honestly, I only ate at Hardee's when they had chicken. We had 2 Hardee's here in Weirton, WV, on Penn. Ave., where the Mexican restaurant Chico Fiesta is located and downtown on Main Street, next door to a car wash. Those 2 Hardee's have been gone for a long time. Take care, Alan.

I used to get food there. It sucks that closed it down. Ever since the Cookout (Old Shoney’s restaurant) came in the area and took it business. I used to get food there every now and then. I used to play in the playground area with the tables and a big metal slide that looked like a toy solider) when I was little. It was for Hardee’s. Despite the area being bad but not that bad. Don’t forget Dutch Square Center beyond the wall on the hill.l (it’s has a few businesses including AMC and Planet Fitness) It still a few Hardee’s opened in Columbia . One location is across from the Flying J truck stop on Fairfield Rd by Super 8 motel. (I lived in Monticello Rd area) The OfficeMax building used to be Virginal College , I think. I used to shop at Kmart (Church owned that building).

Hey, don't people know that those tires make great driveway and walk pathway decors? If great when planting young trees, just put the trees to protect so if someone pulls in your yard they don't disturb your young trees, shrubs, rose bushes, etc.

The remodeled the one in Chambersburg last year, and it looks pretty nice. I'm glad they didn't make it a square box

There was an abandoned beehive, from a previous year, that fell on the left side when you tried to turn the sign. I guess they built a new one behind the sign, a scary surprise.

A lot of Hardee’s in Richmond VA have closed and become other restaurants. All 3 in Charlottesville are gone.

I wonder why the play area was so far away from the restaurant? It would have been much better if the play area was right beside it. Mine probably has a playground since it is only 1 or 2 hours from my house going towards 322.

In South Dakota Hardee's Brookings and Mitchell closed for good on November 9, the Watertown SD is doing fine sadly it closed on November 13, I left on March 2019 why because the serviers took to long

@jessicafallen9778, yes, it does. I had Hardee's for breakfast somewhere in Maryland and it is in a gas station. I had an egg sandwich and hash browns and that was in 2012 when my parents, me and a friend were coming back from the Outer Banks.

Man you had a field day making videos. Walmart down the street on bush river, Hardee’s off of bush river, I think that Schlotzsky’s might be out of business now and the Waffle House in st Andrews. That Hardee’s used to have a playground with a huge robot slide over to the side. I recall playing on the playground when I was a kid and I’m in my 50s now. That area definitely gone really downhill. Lots of foot traffic on bush river road not sure if it’s homeless people or not but homelessness seems to be spreading outside of the downtown Columbia area into areas like this and Harbison. I’ve basically stopped going to Hardee’s because they definitely don’t have the staff at the locations I’ve visited and always not a good experience.
