I've learned a lot since owning three homes 🏡. My last home was built in 2021 and omg it was cheaply built. I should have held on to my home built in 1988 it was nicely built but needed updating. Relocated to another state is the only reason i sold it. So my next home will be maybe built in the 90's the materials were so much better. The newer house had paper thin drywall 🫣

The Chapter House is GORGEOUS! It's such an amazing feeling when your hard work pays off and you all should be over the moon with how incredible this turned out. I can tell you this from experience as we renovated our own house, with the top floor rented out as an Airbnb (which we started in order to help pay some medical bills). You've given us some things to think about improving at our place. Would love to share some things we've done to help make our guests' experience smooth and easy, e.g., getting familiar with the space quickly. Maybe we could do a "stay-swap" if you were interested in coming to the Madison, WI area. You didn’t mention whether you donated some of the wood furniture that was in there, for example, the dining room table and chairs. I hope that happened because it could most likely have been cleaned up and been a welcome item for someone. Great transformation, turned out beautiful.

We have full length videos of each part of this project and in the very first one we show sorting the items in the house into piles for what can be donated and what needs to be trashed. We donated everything that was salvageable 😊
