Not a castle. The ghillie or game keeper probably stayed there. Would have been in charge of running the estate for the Laird. The “ castle “ where the Laird lived would be 10 times that size if not more. Balmoral is a castle and it’s HUGE !!!!! Every estate in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 has houses like this. Just built to mirror the main house. They’re often called an Estate Lodge …. I’m Scottish by the way 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ghillie's and keepers dont stay in lodges, they stay in hovels, lodges are a retreat for the nobility, for their friends to stay in when they come up from London to slaughter some animals for fun

@@reubeng2110 well I live in a house , this place is massive and is listed as a castle , the tower at the front means you can list the building as a tower house or a castle, I mean , proper castles are a lot bigger , I think it was just rich people who couldn’t quite afford the full castle 😂
