There was this Kmart in Pennsylvania that I used to go to all the time, had so much fun, got tons of slushies too.. I remember standing there infront of it a few years after it closed just thinking about when I was young, and honestly, it still hurts (as silly as it may sound)

Man I loved Kmart too, the toys were always weird and cheap so we always got stuff! This… turn of the millennium shopping malls and certain businesses… then disappearing has made me so sad and nostalgic for the 90s, that was the last time I remember anything innocently….Lol I’m 35 and I just don’t feel the same as I did…. Do one on the summit place mall in Pontiac Michigan. It use to be a huge attraction when it opened, comes a decade later shit starts losing interest, come round 2017-2022 they year the entire thing down after having been closed for over a decade damn near. Sad to see the building gone. I may have only visited once or twice as a child in the early 2000s but it was a huge part of my memory when driving through the area with my grandparents as a child

A few year later ? Try like 6 years later and I'm sure the Kmart was there longer then that. It's when people rather shop on line get better prices or also shop lift from the stores that supply us wth jobs ,sense of being and just over all a place to go to shop different items and such to get out of thr damn house and sense of reality. Also the storage rarely gets customers . It's a STORAGE facility these things pop up like unwanted relatives on a Sunday afternoon. Best money making business ever. Need 1-2 employees a day . Office is opened from 10-5 . Opened from 10 - 2 on Saturday. Closed on God's day. Very low over head . Basically paying for property taxes. Electricity, unless they have gone solar then even less. Storage will always look like this cistomers come ,Go-to their units . Leave . Some not even at all. In my neighborhood within 2 miles centralized are 5 storage units . With the 5th one being 4 stories high. Almost all climate controlled inside and some others out doors for like garage sized 10× 20, 25, 30. So iinconclustion this storage might look like nothing but it's holding aot of money right there per month
