Awwwww this broke my heart. The carousel was my favorite thing when I was a kid.

I completely forgot that existed

I vaguely remember it as well as the food court, as I was only around 6 or 7 when it was removed .

Have watched a few different vids of this mall prior to this one and it's really something how much difference there is in a matter of a few years

In its final years, the store closures really began to pick up. The company that bought them in 2013 basically let it lose its stores and bleed whatever was left in the end.

Odd. I heard it was gonna be demolished months ago. Wonder why the delay? Cool video still. And yes, that first spot you visited was the former Sears. That second spot was in fact Bon-Ton. JcPenny was actually where the Black Rose Antique store went. Do you remember the Carousel and Food Court?

I was surprised to learn it was still mostly up and untouched, minus the Bon-Ton and Sears. I remember the food court so vividly and the arcade my brother and cousin would run to after eating. So many memories. As for the carousel, I had completely forgotten it was once there until another comment mentioned it! Remember Suncoast video? That was my second home for a while.. lol

@@MONDOdocs I have vague memories about the food court and carousel. I do kind of remember riding it as a youngster. Though I was quite young when the court closed up and became H&M (I believe it was around 2001 or so when I was 6 years of age). Many believe that the closure of the court was the prologue to the mall's decline as a mall without a food court was unheard of. Albeit I've heard from many that the food court was slowly losing business over its tenure. I definitely do remember Suncoast video though as I got many movies there as a kid until it closed around 2006 I believe. Do you know when the arcade closed though?

This is so depressing. I grew up in this mall too. KB Toys, Babbage's, Electronics Boutique, Suncoast Video, the Tilt Arcade. Waldenbooks. The Wall (later FYE). Hallmark. At least two different comic book stores. Uggghhh.

Trust me. I know the feeling. Our childhood memories being neglected in such a way is always a tragedy.

This should be a location for Warren Lanes Bowling Alley to be built at seeing a Quick Check is planned to come and maybe a X Golf too but three hotels Best Western plus, Red Roof Inn and Motel 6 as it be in a safer location for the hotel guests and customers of Kolhs and the restaurants as that would make sense for the property other than a warehouse

You have an interesting mouth. I feel like I was in that Sears like 10 minutes ago. Also the dollar store was my jam. My Grammy and PopPop would let me and my brothers pick something whenever we went. We bought many a whoopie cushions there. Now I feel old.

It is because we're all old now, Keri.
