Originally a castle belonging to the Vagnone family of Trofarello, it has been renovated just twice and was given its neoclassical facade in 1779. It was once home to a Count who collected many works of art, filling the mansion with rare beauties. The final resident was a painter who worked to restore it but in 1959 it was left empty and abandoned, meaning it’s been uninhabited without furnishings for 64 years now… It’s now owned by an anonymous Swiss company and has been declared a national monument.

In my family's old crypt there was also an altar where a priest used to regularly hold a requiem for those buried there. This was secured for centuries by donations in advance. Even before her death in 2019, one of my grandmother's sisters donated a large amount for masses to be celebrated permanently. They take place in the parish church. If there were ghosts, it would be interesting to find out why they can only respond in one or two word answers, their command of grammar disappeared with their physical bodies, and they often respond with nonsense. I recall an old TV show called "Ghost Hunters," where a couple of Roto-Rooter guys scammed viewers with scripted episodes, manufactured effects, and ridiculous, staged reactions. Don't get me wrong. Those smart guys had an entertaining run and laughed all the way to the bank.

I struggle with whether or not there’s anything to this, but it’s hard for me to ignore, because of personal and unprovoked experience. Pretty cool walkthrough at any rate

What an absolutely beautiful house. It's a shame that they're letting it crumble away. "Reformer" That was interesting, because I believe someone wanted you to reset the rem pod, since other investigators have been told that sometimes the spirits have a hard time turning it off. "Come back alone." I think there might be someone with you, as is either your spirit guide or an attachment you picked up from somewhere. It's always possible that the spirit with you is the one that they wanted to come back alone, not you. I've never heard that request from the spirit talker before. Many upper class families had their own chapels, but they're usually a lot smaller than this one. The family had some big bucks for a beautiful chapel of that size. They also might have had a priest live on the grounds as well, part-time or full-time. The chapel is proof that they didn't want to 'mingle' with the poor citizens, which tells you a lot about their views on religion. If they lived far from a church, then it makes sense to have their own chapel. I'm curious about their reason for a private chapel - did they believe that they were better than the other people in the village? Were they afraid of people seeing the amount of money they put in the collection plate? Or did they not trust the priests at the village church to hear their confessions? Maybe they sinned so often that they had to confess several times a day, LOL. Remember that the church thought that trying to communicate with the dead was forbidden, and the word 'edicts' can also mean rules or beliefs. Only a priest was allowed to talk to the Lord on your behalf, and never the dead. When you asked how long they've been there, a creepy and evil-sounding voice on the spirit box said 'forever.' That gave me the chills!

70 years. And yet the mirrors intact are pretty clean. Crazy how angles work in these places.

Hi Adam, love your channel, have a question (not being a paranormal explorer myself!). Why is it you don't move to the areas where you hear stuff during the investigation? Seems like they are trying to get your attention with the noises and trying to get you go to them? Keep up the great work, enjoy Italy and please stay safe! ❤

I absolutely love the architecture!!! I’m 70, I appreciate all of your adventures!!! Even though it’s haunted, I’d live here!!! I don’t feel that the spirits are bad, just lost souls that for whatever reason, haven’t moved on!!! It breaks my heart ♥️ to see the phenomenal structure in this shape 😞😢😰The structure is still solid, it just needs TLC & money, I’m sure more than anyone has, to restore this gorgeous property to the condition of its worth!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us Adam!!! I truly loved it 👍🙏💕
