Kevin, thank you so much for showing the use of a torque wrench. So often I watch guys just rattle stuff down, and it's truly scary. No idea how tight that fastener is. As for the motor...well..maybe look for a 360/5.9? Anyway, always enjoy your content.

We use a torque arm socket wrench. Local Aus brand. Can watch the needle pop, rather than wait for a click. I believe they are more accurate as well. No double click, just tension to wet or dry faster setting. Have a great day.

You would be surprised how easy it is to powder coat parts that size yourself. All you need is a cheap powder coating gun from Harbor freight. And a market place electric stove and boom powder coating job complete. I actually powder coat my lead projectiles for my reloads. Instead of using grease lube or tumble lubes like Lee liquid alox. And for that I don’t even use the powder coating gun I just shake all the projectiles around in a plastic sour cream container. That creates enough static electricity for the powder to stick. Then I pick each one out of the powder tap off the excess. Then place each one in a small toaster oven bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Boom bag pow a projectile capable of handling 2500 fps. Even more if you gas check them but all that aside my point is powder coating is extremely cheap and easy.

I had a 67 Dart. My cousin and aunt borrowed it, and my aunt's weight actually snapped a torsion bar. I had a 73 Dart as well, and the torsion bars fit right in.

Kevin, in reference to the fuel pump eccentric. I did a double roller on my 71 challenger 318. With a double roller, the eccentric gets moved forward and hits the timing cover so you can't use it. I ended up going with an Electric pump.

I had a '71 Satellite Sebring Plus. Owned it from '76 - '81. Blue with half vinyl white roof. 383 4 speed. Pistol grip shifter. A whole lotta fun. Nice to see a '71 still out there. Apparently it is not the most popular model year but I sure liked it.

33:00 I had the same problem trying to find replacement wheels for my Subaru. It was hard to find any wheels at all in the factory size. My choices were plain steel wheels for $135, or metallic gold alloys for $155. The gold wheels look way better than i expected them to, and were totally worth the extra $20/ea

27:11 yep apparently chrysler did in fact offer many forward-thinking options on cars in this era. Front disc brakes (some cars offering 4 piston calipers), shoulder belts, auto-cancelling turn signals, clutch-out starter lockout, etc. However, gearheads of that era weren't too impressed with them newfangled bells n whistles

Absolutely sucks that you didn't get to flog it even once down the track, but on the other hand it's emotionally easier to fix an intact running engine than just tossing chunks of a previously running engine into the trash barrel. Think of it as a second chance. At least it drives straight! Greatly enjoy the videos!

I've never had it happen myself but have always heard this is a risk of camming an old engine. That extra compression does not always sit well with the old head gaskets - and sometimes the damage doesn't show up until the engine cools after break in. I've heard old timers claim this, at any rate. Could be the case.

We have those exact Corbeau seats and for the money they were not worth it. Bad stitching in a few spots. One of the plastic recliner handle covers broke within a month of installing them and the slider handle is a pinch hazard with the seat bases they sold us, but if we got them for free I'd probably say different.

A coil spring suspension isn't necessarily a coil over. A coil over is a specific type of shock, not just coil springs and shocks. You have spring towers over the A arms. Normal on most late 60s cars.

QUESTION about new gas tanks. When I put my car together I was told "paint that new gas tank, it will last longer". Where do people stand on this? I didn't want to, but I did it anyway because at least(as far as I knew) it wouldn't hurt. My point is I see people in videos popping on new fuel tanks with no prep at all. Did I waste my time painting it?
