I've been to the town of spectre, It's pretty cool. you pay $2-$3 to enter onto the land. It's not that big of an area but most of the buildings are open but it's still a movie set so the houses are completely hollow. It's a cool place to visit if you're near Montgomery, it's right off I-65.

I know many of the locations from Big Fish because I grew up a short walk from Huntingdon College(it starred as Auburn in the movie)where filming was based, and I lived in Wetumpka(where the Big Fish house is) for many years.

Good compilation of abandoned movie sets. The Fugitive train wreck is the property of Historical Smoky Mountain Railway. You can see it from the train ride, but you can't get closer than that and you definitely can't touch or go in it without trespassing.

The "sets" of Tatooine in the beginning of the video are NOT sets! It's an actual old abandoned town that the production used as Tatooine in some scenes of the Phantom Menace (1999). You made a little confusion with the set constructed for A New Hope (1977) in Tunisia that were reused in some scenes of Episode II (2002) and III (2005) and that now became kind of a b&b and can be visited by fans.
@Telus-ball10 күн бұрын
There was this one lost media my uncle used to watch. It was called "frantic town" and i think they used the same tv show set for a movie set in "the frantic town of 85" another lost media featuring kids as the main charaters. Taking place in 1985 and cancelling due to downfall in 2005. The Last episode of frantic town only aired in the UK and Canada. Only for Quebec. Theres a location of the show. Its on the thumbnail. If you want to look for yourself.

5:04 I'm pretty sure Hansel and Gretel isn't the most notable of those three films 😂 It's clear that you're not an actual film fan because you believe the appeal to every set must be "eerie" and "creepy". Comes off as another soulless Watch Mojo ripoff.

I wonder how they created the movie sets in village scenes, buildings, etc. Are they real structures or may be some are fake images designed by fake chemical paints. The movie industry then were having so much invested huge amount of money for these realistic scenery. But today, most of them are happy playing virtual reality scenes thru high-tech CGI visual effects in green broad sheets background. They can now make movies much cheaper thru CGI and in a short period of time less hassle without frustrations on building real structures.
