We were the last customers there the night it closed. They hosted the wedding rehearsal dinner my brother's wedding the night they closed the doors.

I grew up around there, been to all the places you have show so far in the last few Ashtabula area vids in the 80/90s. Thanks for the memories.

Thanks for the video extra of the dining room. It's sad that it probably will be gone forever but the video will remain a great memory. Thanks wallie you are awesome

My family and I used to eat there fairly often. Just before they closed, I remember taking my mother there one last time. So many memories! Thanks for sharing!

Vintage places like this should make a comeback! Too many corporate restaurants like DQ and others have put family owned places out of business. I'd like to see them come back.

Lived in Ashtabula my whole life. Used to go with a girl that worked the ice cream stand, and her brother used to cook in the restaurant. Good times. All the videos of the town are cool. Grew up with all of the old places. I'm 50 now so I go back a little. If you want something different check out Smolen coverd Bridge. It's the biggest in the country. It would make a cool video. I don't think many if anyone did one yet.

Ah this place. The inside is such a time capsule, we checked this place out a few years. It was one of my favorite spots.

Guessing that the ice cream shop in front might have once been a Pure/Union 76 gas station/truck stop, based on the blue roof of the building, and the street sign. The restaurant, with the yellow roof, originally opened as an Aunt Jemima Pancake House. Saw posts of this on Facebook.

WOW! Great video! This place is stuck in time! Will all those weeds around it, you can tell it's been closed for a long time! Quite a place!

I agree with you highly. They are disgusting, plain disrespectful to other people's property, especially private property. Wish they get caught and get arrested. They are scums of the earth. Wallie is so legit. I enjoy his urbex vids. He rocks!

It appears that Mr. C's has locations still open, mostly east of the Mississippi. And that they have packaged ice cream also available at retail locations.

This place intrigues me! My question is why do they leave all the equipment inside? Why not sell it? That stuff is expensive!

That place looks like it could just open right back up and start serving customers again once all the weeds are cut and parking lot paved. Looks like such a nice cozy vintage place unfortunately sad to say i have to agree i don't aee this place opening up any time soon😢 Another awesome find👍

Most of the time when you see the fixtures and furniture still in place at these abandoned restaurants for more than 10 years. It's mostly because the owner still owed money on everything. If the finance institution or bank don't see the value and nothing hasn't been removed. The lean owner writes it off as a loss. I'm sure this place was put up for some type of auction of sorts in the past. But other things facter in. Such as location for one.

The ice cream place came in the late 80's into the 90's. That used to be a triple A . Mr.Cs was a busy place with good food back in the day. There was a camp ground across the street.

I can't understand that when a place is closed and obviously too run down to fix that the owner doesn't have it torn down, bc they're having to pay taxes on it. I mean clear it out and let someone else make use of the ground. Thanks for filming it.

Back in 1987, my wife and I shacked up at the motel across the street on our first date and had breakfast the next morning at Mr. C's. We got married about 10 months later and are still happily married!

Nice Wallie!!! I recently was in Austinburg Ohio too!!! I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and ate at the Waffle House!!! There’s also a vintage blue roof Burger King but when I was there it was changed to grey, but it was still stuck in the 90s which will probably turn into a shoebox or go abandoned soon!!! do good!!!😊
