I've always wondered what that place would look like during daylight. I can imagine that place was quite beautiful back in the day. Thank you do much for going back in daylight and filming it.

When I was young, I would explore like this. Now I live vicariously through you. I don’t believe in the paranormal stuff - does not line up with God’s Word- but I watch because you guys are so funny. One of my boys lives in Paris Tennessee, a Pastor. About your age and size. I am from NE Ohio so I enjoy exploring Tennessee.

Ps..they say there’s large empty rooms located off that potato room too but 1/2 covered in water but yes, they say it’s nearly a mile long from the original tunnel opening and stays 58 degrees and why they stored potatoes and other foods but it’s been explored and the Cherokee pottery, arrowheads and other belongings were stored in one of those larger rooms located past the initial potato’s room. A mile long tunnel with several large dug out rooms! A giant jaguars bones were discovered down there too, all on display in NYs “Lost Sea” museum.

The saber-tooth cat was found in a pit in the Lost Sea in Sweetwater, Tennessee. It's on display there. It's fell in a pit and died. The claw marks are still there. You can see the pit if you go on the spelunking tour. The potato room is the second larger room back into the cave entrance at Indian Cave. Called that because they used to store potatoes in it in the 1800s and milk was stores in the stream boxes.

Stayed in a cabin at this resort when I was a kid. My father was from Alabama and every summer we would go to see my grandmother. I remember going through the cave and hearing the story of the Trail of Tears and the Indian Cave. Thanks for this video it brought back some great memories.

Where I live, in South Texas, I've found lots of Native American artifacts. Normally, people can recognize "arrowheads" and other similar artifacts. Most of the ones that I've found, though, are not classified in a catalogue. Many of them are unique tools, toys, and effigies. 🗿

My great-grandfather used to own this cave and the property above and next to it. I'm curious if the transfer of the Monday estate with have any direct affect on the cave. Be nice if someone fixed it up and reopened it, but it would be a major investment.

My grandmas house is less than a mile up the road from the indian cave. I would walk down to the cave often when i was young. From my knowledge the top entrance is on the ground just a hole/opening to the cave, but it was filled in so many years ago. My dad knows where it is but I've neved been above the cave to look for it. Its not too far from what I've been told. Youre best bet would be to talk to some of the old timers that live near by. Ill be there this spring if i find it ill let ya know!

I’m actually Colorado native and descendant of the Cherokee Tribe who settled here in our southwestern mountains. I love the historical aspects of life. Again, thank you for sharing. Looked up Potato Cave and is it legit directed to the underneath largest known lake “Lost Sea”? Wowww, it’s so intriguing but spooky if someone was to fall in because as of now there’s still no ends to the lake in pitch darkness, especially when you’re out on your own! Serious note..please be extra safe, I explore 💯 alone too but the history behind this area could indicate there’s more secretly dug tunnels that drop to that lake. Am I reading that correctly?
