That Malaysia place was extremely popular for their laksa. People would line up outside the door during lunch. I went there a few times and thought the laksa was good, but not amazing 🍜

It's pretty darn good Laksa.. their chicken satay is also awesome. At one point they used to have a downstairs place opposite MLC but that closed in the 2000s.

More and more reasons to not go anywhere near Sydney cbd. All the good cheap eateries being demolished. Hunter street food hall was a great place for Asian food, good cheap food. I used to work very close and would get a Vietnamese chicken roll from there at least every week. Now gone. Now this too, all those good eateries. All down to too many people being let in every year. Destroying cities, suburbs, our very way of life.

Absolutely. This country has gone to the dogs. I'd rather stay home than waste my time and money going 'out' these days. Everything is an exorbitant rip off and it's stressful due to so many people everywhere.

Import the 3rd World, become the 3rd World...This isn't just Shitney -its a global issue and done by design.

Calm down and take a deep breath. People getting worked up about the perceived dwindling cheap eateries. Seriously…do yourself a favour and go to China town

@@bigchief2331 There's still plenty of hidden gems in the city, lots of cheap eats if you're willing to search for them. It's not as doom and gloom as you guys make it out to be.

Are they putting in a station or are they digging a hole to check if the tunnel bore is going the right way? Because like that's a big as hole if so, or a big as station

Interesting video. My dad used to work at P & O in 55 Hunter Street. many years ago. I am wondering if that building will be included in the demolition.

Would have been much better to put this station deep, deep under an existing station. Martin Place or the new Pitt St metro station

I've been living in the CBD for last 14 years and I love how it has transformed since 2016. Old buildings need to go replaced with modern infrastructure.

This is for Sydney Metro West.. which won't open until 2030. The building across the way, already under construction is for Sydney Metro City and Southwest which opens in 2024.

They say "Metro" but it's more than an entrance to a metro station, it's going to be the Hunter Street Metro Precinct. Together with Wynard train station and Martin Place metro, it's going to be a significant transport hub - linking the City Circle with two different Metro lines as well as access to the light rail on George Street. There's going to be a lot of underground passages, etc, and the buildings they knock down will be replaced with new buildings. There's a very thorough video posted by a youtuber called Transport Vlog a couple of days ago if you want to check it out. Personally I'm not a fan of knocking down serviceable buildings, but in this case it makes sense to maximise the potential of this important area, given the number of people expected through it.
