I went through this & other tunnels in this series a few years ago - the fence was still up at that point but the gate was open so you could go through alright. The northern portal is indeed quite near Otford station but you end up walking along the back of what I suspect are private gardens and then climb over a fence right by the current rail line. So not ideal! I certainly would never have found it from that end. I had driven to the southern portal so I came out of the northern portal and then worked out where it was in relation to the station to satisfy my curiosity before walking back through the tunnel south again. When I researched these tunnels, I couldn't find any way of doing the Lilyvale ones without trespassing on railway land. So I haven't seen those two. Will be interested to see if you find a way! When I did the Cawley one you could drive up the road that seems to now be fenced off - so it was a lot easier! But the ground was just as boggy near the tunnel itself.

not sure what exactly is considered railway land, but both tunnels are along camp gully road, or you could get to them via lilyvale road

@@itsyaboychipsahoy you would only be able to access the tunnels (legally) if you work for the NSW government/metropolitan coal mine

Looks like u can reach the Lilyvale Tunnels and also a Stormwater Culvert from the Lilyvale Walking Trail in the Royal National Park.

This tunnel was used for many years for commercial mushroom growing they also had the old tunnels at Picton
