I enlarged my battery box to accept a car battery, more juice to run accessories lights and a winch.

I bought a 2000 with tracks in 2013 for $7k (Canadian), and drove it across the ice to my 6 acre island. It creaks and groans a bit, but keeps on chugging along. I love my 20+ year old 6x6! When it gives up the ghost, I'll buy a newer used one.

Lawn mower battery $40 vs factory battery $160 and there wasn’t any in-stock. So 10 mins of cutting and welding saved my self over 100 bucks.

Make sure you check the diff fluids , mine started smoking, then stripped the pinion gear , NOT a replacement to be found!!

I paid $7000 for my 6x6 2012. BRAND NEW 800 MOTOR! I think I might have over paid. All 6 new axles, new shock boots, new a-arms, new battery, 6 new tires. Nah, I'm good! I willing to offer triple what you paid for it. Lol!
