Abandoned Saskatchewan: Huge stone prairie mansion known as the "Mann house"

Join us as we explore the abandoned "Mann house" in Saskatchewan. This abandoned two story stone mansion on the prairies is a site to see! The house was built in the late 1800's - early 1900's from fieldstone collected in the nearby fields. The partial wrap around porch was built with wood and had gorgeous details. The house features a kitchen at the back, living room, front room and bedrooms upstairs. We fly over with the drone and walkthrough on ground level.

Loved your video. There is also one in our area of SE Sask ,but not as big. Can you imagine not only building it, but living in it, lucky family. I remember the remains of my grand parents first house,on the land where we now live, is all that remained was a pile of sod,or mound of black dirt,but our family is still farming after 125 years.

Agreed but we understand that the cost to restore these historic homes, especially brick and stone ones is very high unfortunately

I have a hard time understanding why this property was not kept up. Perhaps some big corporation own this land now.

Unfortunately the stone walls are now coming apart so it would be costly to repair. Like you said, small farms are now large farms so many of these yards and houses were left.

Even though its abandoned it's still owned by someone, usually the person who farms the land around it.
