The old picture looked as if it was on a golf course….. I prefer how the land looks now. Such near history and yet the poor house crumbles. Thank you

The crunching of the undergrowth. Nice capture of how it is now.

50 years man and boy I've been travelling up and down that road! Never had a clue that such a structure existed. Keep it up.

Just found your channel, love Scotland and seeing buildings of times past esp like pics of how they were. It's amazing how nature reclaims, thanks for your efforts :)

Just think of the gatherings it would have held. Sad and beautiful ❤️🏴

Cracking ! Almost looks as though an attempt has been made to strengthen the building at some time -eg bricked-up windows/doors and what look like 'recent' bricks used to support some of the big lintels; end of an era, right enough !

It looks that way at first but those are all original bricks in there original positions. It's cupboards and not bricked up doors also.

It has been built with very poor quality materials for the size of the structure. Amazing place to explore 🏞️

It may be that an older building existed, before the main lodge was built, as a some of the stones look better quality on the lower part at the area at the way you accessed the building?
