Good to see a small shortline making the necessary upgrades to their rails, unlike the E&SL in Michigan that Jason Asselin posts video of. Seems like they have major track issues at least twice a month. If you haven't seen it, one of his latest videos shows some fully loaded center beam flatcars rocking to the point of almost tipping. I do enjoy seeing these videos of robust New England rails!

I'm very glad to see the New England railways being restored! And I hope someone manufactures scale models of the engine in Mass. Coastal livery and the stone hopper cars in the MassDOT paint scheme. 😊

That’s a long siding to invest in. Maybe plans to use as a transload area someday.

Cool. I assume the next steps are tamping the track and adding a bumping post?

Nice video, great to see another gallo siding being reused. When I started on the rr there was and still is a gallo siding, but gallo is not the business but wine and liquer do flow out of there not sure about wine coming in still? Nice that will be tamped and leveled with drainage. Love to see the end product. The building did eat the train. LOL

Great catch, you have to wonder...how often does the entire locomotive enter the building, even when the spur is used!!??

Not often from the photos I saw of the old operation

Where do they load the ballast in the gondola cars?
@SouthCoastRailVideos7 ай бұрын
The ballast was loaded at a local yard but the stone was trucked in.

What are those side panels on the rail cars? Look like something electric
@alwhalen34887 ай бұрын
Solar panels to charge the batteries that power the motors to open/close the doors.
