Thanks for posting this and taking us along on your explore of another piece of Wales history. An interesting place I imagine was so noisy and full of movement in it's time, now quiet and empty, nature reclaiming the spaces. Gimbal one made watching smooth and relaxing. Not sure if it broke sometime during filming or gimbal two was in use, but halfway through it got rough. Looking forward to your next adventure. Hugs and scritches!

Just a guess that those hanging rusted wheels were probably part of a band saw machine for cutting slate, maybe a vertical pulley belt looped over them, or maybe a saw blade.

Nice old slate mine, some surprises but not much left, it is a miracle that some roof parts survived. The Gimbal two has the worst gyro ever, my 5 year old Go pro is a bit more stable, does it have the txt: Made in China on it? They can make good stuff but it will twice the prize then.

It does! On the note of GoPros, ours has also broken. It seems we need a whole new set up.

I'm surprised to not see any owls or song birds, rodents, varmints, raccoons, or foxes. Are there wild forest cats around that eat the smaller animals? I know stoats eat rabbits.

It is strangely dead there. No wildlife but sheep, and most of those were skeletons that we saw.
