Abandoned Stations Series: Ozone Park LIRR [4K]

I found out that the Rockaway Beach line is not considered abandoned, but unused. Also, those openings that you see at the end of the platforms on the Ozone Park station used to be stairway entrances to the trains.

I consider it abandoned in the sense of the LIRR not using this branch.

Well trees have overgrown on the tracks and the infrastructure is still not maintained.

I guess they removed the entrance to avoid people from getting up there.

no entrance for ozone park . Atlantic ave have entrance at one time. they close up and gate up around 2000

It's remarkable the amount of neglect that's around that area. All industrial!

In one of the recent public meetings for Queenslink they did show some designs as to how the station could of have a transfer point to the existing rockaway blvd station should it get repurposed again. Hopefully that group pulls through with the city as the mta does have that abandoned portion on the list for their 20 year capital plan study .

Goodmoring sir the Ozone Park 🏞 Station on tge Ex Far-Rock Beach Branch LIRR should've been rebuild and put back to use I should say. If you already have the tracks still available. Why not get use of them. And plenty of people who benefit from more Transit Options then a Park sir. Question? Why would the MTA and And Queensway would want to build another park 🏞 witch isn't to far away from Forest Park. That dose'nt make and sense. Ozone Park 🏞. But on the other hand the Queenslink would be a Hybrid project and Subway 🚉 or Railway 🛤 and a park. The Ozone Park Station could've helped out the A Train to create as another short trip or the possible Extended of the M to Far-Rockaway . And it would get people out of there cars and take the public off of often slow and unreliable Buses witch run in the area sir. And that was a awesome video 📹 from you sir.

I dont think this abandoned station will be reactivated it will be useless since the A is there already
