The IBX light rail should run in between St. George Terminal in Staten Island to City Island to run in Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx if the MTA find the funding. I believe The Bronx and Staten Island are being forgotten about having the IBX light rail.

The (6) Pelham Line could definitely be extend to City Island and the (8) to be a Pelham Line to be a skip stop on a rush hour like the B.M.T. Jamaica Line (J)/(Z) Line from ENY yard. (1) Train to Yonkers and South Ferry Loop line and the (9) Train to extend to Riverdale Wildo Avenue in The Bronx and extended to Park Slope 4th Avenue/9th Street Station in Brooklyn, transfer to the (F), (G) and (R) Train's. The (6)/(8) Train's should be based of Westchester Yard use Bombardier Transportation Car Company R62A's. The (7)/(11) Train's should be a 12-Car Train that should be a 12-Car platform to New Jersey.

I'm still wondering why the LGA extension isn't part of this project. It honestly makes perfect sense to extend the line to LGA airport terminals from the Jackson HTS station,or even rebuild the unused station platforms already built into the structure for mainline transfers. The Airport route could stay on the surface, make a stop near the 74th st complex, then continue towards the airport. It certainly beats out the ridiculous "reverse Airtrain from Willis Point". Not to mention leaving room for expansion. While This is a drop in the bucket to get the ball rolling,it IS only a drop after decades of neglect by the City of New York. Manhattan and Queens has received new subway since the late 1960's, while Brooklyn, the Bronx has steadily lost rapid transit service. Staten Island never received Any from the "City". So even considering that this will be the largest single piece of rapid transit to be built in a very long time, And I am actually happy And excited to see the MTA Give SOMETHING TO THE "OUTER BOROUGHS" besides lousy service. Yes,we all know that the line has to be renovated to support new services,new stations to build, and transfer complexes established. It will be an exciting time for everyone. Especially the passengers who are waiting for this line to finally come on line.

Just exsted the N W trains to LaGuardia Airport if they are not planning on bringing the Air trains to LaGuardia Airport and they have the N W trains right there and they could definitely run on a concrete structures to LaGuardia Airport.

If they are definitely ordering new R211/As/Ts/S for Staten Island rail ways and the BMT IND lines and the R262/As open gangways and close ways for the A divisions iRT lines they better start making plans to extending some of the extra subway elevated lines and having new iRT lines to run on the older second Avenue elevated line in Queens to Queens plaza to transfer to the 7 11 N W trains.

I’m not an expert but why have the M train terminate @ Middle Village-Metropolitan when it’ll have the Metropolitan-Parkside station? Maybe give the Myrtle Avenue line to the Z and deinterline the J and Z trains @ Myrtle-Bway because skip stop service on the Jamaica line isn’t doing much. Keep the Z as local and J express in peak direction. M to terminate in Rockaway Park-B116th and give the M the 2 avenue terminal where the V train was that way it’s not a long to wait for an M train for QBL riders. The M can just head with the F just before Queens Plaza to Queensbridge-21st using the 63rd street tunnel. it will see an increase in train activity though instead of 53rd street. M train - from 2 Avenue to Rockaway Park - B 116th (6th Ave Local, QB Local, via JFK) Z to Middle Village-Metropolitan J stays normal

The 205 buses might be numbered 3500-3704. As the MTA purchases more and more electric buses, they will take over most of the Orion’s numbers, while the new XD60 order will probably take over the NYCT OG HEV’s numbers. EDIT: MTA has renumbered the five Nova electrics from 5100-5104 to 5025-5029 and XE40 #5030 was delivered to Grand Avenue. Looks like these buses will be numbered 5030-5234.

The Metropolitan station will use the old Parkside station. It is located at Metropolitan Avenue and Woodhaven Blvd. It is across the street from the car wash on Metropolitan

Of course it doesn't work. Just another example of the MTA wasting money on more useless ideas. No wonder they are in debt. They spend so much money on stupid nonsense. It's time to make their books public.

Honestly speaking, I am not in agreement with the IBX at all. Because of the light rail line and where will it ends going north and so on.

It's worth it for the 6th Avenue (M) Train to extend to The Rockaway's with the (A) Train, Rockaway Park Shuttle Train to be eliminate and replace by the 6th Avenue (M) Train. The (G) Train to extend to Forest Hills 71st Continental Avenue's Station in Queens with the (R) Train except late nights. Late nights the (G)/(R) Train should be extend to Queens Plaza Station in Queens. Swap De-linterlining permanently for the (F)/(M) Train for Queens Link and the (M) Train should be a full time service line run via 63rd Street Tunnel. The (F) Train should run via 53rd Street Tunnel with the (E) Train to release the over crowing as well. The MTA should do that.
@alk616956 күн бұрын
@nycli376 yeah I had the same thought about switching the F to the 53rd Street tunnel and the M to 63rd.

A point that I want to put out. With the reactivation of the Atlantic Ave station on the QueensLink, I wonder if the LIRR will reopen the old Woodhaven Station on the Atlantic Ave line? This would be an easy transfer point for people on Long Island to get to the Rockaways, or other southern neighborhoods in Queens, like Howard Beach, or Aqueduct Racetrack.

Goodnight sir and hardwork most definitely pays off sir. I remember when you covered the former Woodheaven Junction station 🚉. Also if the MTA would've decided to rebuild the Ex Far-Rockaway Beach Branch as a Extension of the M train route. Woodhaven Blvd Station 🚉 on the Queens Blvd lines might have to end up to rebuild as Express stop in order for this to work sir. Woodheaven Blvd station is a major transit Hub 🚇 sir. You have a Connection to Express Buses into the Manhattan QM 10 QM-11and QM17 QM-16 QM15 Q- as well as local Bus route to Manhattan the Q-60 . A Bus route to Brooklyn the Q-59 Q-53 Q52 S.B.S as well as Queens Center Mall and as Lefrak city as well as other Bus in Area. If The would've decided to rebuild the Ex Far-Rockaway Beach Branch as a Subway would've get a lot of Ridership because it make it possible for those who go to Queens College Because the Q-88 is next to Queens Center Mall. Also The Queens link should be a hybrid project Subway and park. That will get people out of there cars 🚗 sir just like the IBX line will be for Part of Queens and Brooklyn sir.. this whole project will be good for everyone. Because if Queensway happens how will get to it with our a car 🚗 sir . Witch will create more traffic along woodheaven Blvd sir.

Ok first of all, the Independent Subway was not into talks with the L.I.R.R. It was with the Interbrough Rapid Transit Co. The I.R.T. couldn't come to terms with the R.R.

MTA future project, 1) extending the # 3 trains to Gateway Center with possible expansion to Shirley Chisholm State Park only if the land is better developed similar to Coney Island. 2) the Second Ave extending to Houston St. will happen also pls extend the 2nd Ave & 125th St., with congestion pricing the MTA, NY & NJ should look into crossing the Hudson River to the Meadowlands Sports Complex. 3) Extending the # 7 trains to NJ also because of congestion pricing. As far west to the Frank R. Lautenberg Rail Station at Secaucus Junction Station. 4) Extending the 4 or 5 trains to Kings Plaza Mall, this was not mentioned. Extending the Nostrand Ave line to Ave U, with a possible Terminal & Maintenance Shop under Marine Park. This maybe cost prohibitive but these suggestions should be implemented sooner than later, pls remember congestion pricing?? At some point the State and/or the City will start siphoning MTA funds towards other projects!!!! What do I know??

Do we really need a Bronx IBX going from East to west. I know very little about the Bronx but the Bronx has MTA Bus service. I thought Bronx commuter wanted a connection to IBX in Queens & Brooklyn, let not forget about Staten Island.😅
