Today we're going to be taking a look at the abandoned Super Kmart Center and K Express here in Rome, GA. This location has been abandoned since 2015 after a downgrade to a regular Kmart store, and demolition is set in the near future to redevelop the property into a Target store

There was a blockbuster right by the gas station, we'd rent our movies and then get all our snacks at the gas station

I don't know when you were there, but I was there on October 8th to explore it. I didn't because there was a woman who apparently owns that car at the gas station sleeping on the walk between the car and the building. The car doors were open just like it was when you were there. I was going to video the main building and because it was boarded up in the front, I went around back to see if there was any way to see in or get in, and there was a police officer sitting back there. Since you encountered the police too, it would seem they keep a close eye on it. So, being 0 for 2 I went and explored other places. Glad you got it before it's torn down.

I was actually in that Kmart in 2012 and filled my tank with gas at the K Express on my way back home in Florida from a family reunion. Cool thing was I bought a little car shaped container of mints and the car says K Express, I still have it and it is in my collection of Kmart memorabilia.
