Abandoned Texas Roadhouse - Grand Prairie, TX. Enjoy a look at this once booming restaurant in the heart of the DFW. It closed a handful of years ago to open an even larger restaurant just up the street. A police officer stopped by while I was filming but was completely okay with me doing my video and gave me some information about the place and shared a personal story of he and his wife having their first dinner together at this restaurant. Enjoy!

Hi! Actually this Tx Roadhouse just closed within the last year or year & a half. They were open while the new one was being built. They needed a much larger size….they do REALLY GOOD business! Also, their closing up had nothing to do w/ the shooting in case anyone was wondering .

After I started working LJS I found out someone had almost been killed in that parking lot. Then several months later the guy who had caused the accident had been released from prison and we were forced to give him his job back by corporate. After a short time of working with him I understood why he had been in prison. He was very mean and aggressive. He constantly threatened everyone. He even beat up his girlfriend while at work. Kayla is right about how hard it is working somewhere that has a violent crime attached to it. The guy ended up back in prison for reckless drunk driving. I haven't seen him since. Great video by the way. And glad y'all got home safely.

I live in Grand Prairie and my wife & family ate many times at that Texas Roadhouse. Now we hardly go because, even though they built the larger one down the street, it is always busy and has wait times up to 2 hours all the time.

If you go to the website you can get in a virtual line and they'll text you the wait time and then text you again when your table is ready. Totally worth it!

Been to Risky's BBQ yet? There's one in downtown Fort Worth, one in the Stockyards and a few smaller locations throughout the Fort Worth area. It's worth it. The sauce is the best! We buy bottles of it for home!

We have an abandoned Texas Roadhouse in Matthews North Carolina. They actually moved in 2019 to the otherside of the parking lot. The reason is because that side of the parking lot is busier than the side they were originally on, but the building is still in good shape and behind their new location is an abandoned movie theater that's been closed for many years.

I have lived in Grand Prairie for 43 years and I never knew about this. When I was in college in Beaumont, Texas, a man was killed in the parking lot of a Burger King. It was called Murder Burger for many years afterwards.

We have a Dennys here the same thing happened there also there was a fight and a person was killed outside. It was late at night if I remember correctly. The Dennys is still open. I don’t eat out much too expensive I like too go to mom and pop shops when I do. I try my best to keep the money locally . Chain stores don’t need my money much. Texas Roadhouse is my favorite place to go. Mine caught on fire a few years back. Torture till they rebuilt . Rebuild was pretty quick

I stay in the apartments behind this roadhouse. Its only been empty 2 years. And sadly the shooting wasnt the reason they closed. They needed bigger space because this location was always packed.

Did you eat at the Taco Bueno? 21-year-old Miles Henry Peters of Arlington was shot and killed outside the Texas Roadhouse at 2536 West Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, on July 19, 2018. 18-year-old Isaiah Murray and 17-year-old Demauri Jackson were arrested and charged with the murder. There seems to be a lot of crime in that area, not that any place, anymore, seems safe.

it was relocated probably because of petty lease arrangements. Texas Roadhouse is by far one of it not the most successful commercial restaurant. when lease holders decide to jack the rent because they know the company pays its bills a market partner has the opportunity to relocate at a massive cost. but financially a long-term win. most and I mean 99 out of every 100 stores could relocate every 3.5 yrs and still be lucrative

They built the other one because there wasn't enough parking. All they did was make a bigger and better one. I've eaten at the old and now the new one . I lived right behind the old one and could smell all the food from my apartment. It's not an abandoned TX Roadhouse they just built a new one.
