This week is a special one, were at the Abandoned Pleasure Island Theme Park in Cleethorpes. We had one chance to get inside this place and it was bar far our most tense explore yet with security constantly on our back.

Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned buildings, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. And with a bit of comedy and humour chucked in there too, can't be too serious about these things.
We're not serious urban explorers, we just love the adeventure.
Urban Exploration is not for kiddies. Abandoned places are dangerous. Adventures are fun.

Hey everyone, just updates on this theme park, I live here and I've had previous season passes which means i get in for free. Since it's closed down, the rides have been dismantled, the roller coaster has gone to Asian theme park, the obliterater has gone to check republic and the tall hydro max and the hyper blaster has gone. I think you should do a video going back in there because not long ago people trashed the place and set fire to a canopy, the run away train has been pulled to pieces. You should go to the ghost train. It's worth a video going again because it's seriously so creepy. Cheers guys xx

destroyed by a stupid council who allowed a residential housing estate to be built so close. honestly what we're they thinking! they not only destroyed a great theme park but most of the building blocks that kept cleethorpes as a resort alive. well I hope they enjoy loosing most of the visitors and money that the theme park brought to the area! what a way of destroying a good resort for family's. cleethorpes council should be so ashamed of them selves! I for one will never return to cleethorpes because without the theme park really what is left? the council should have been more supportive and helped financially to keep pleasure island alive! after all what's the attraction to cleethorpes now? Nothing but a muddy beach and bad tidal approach! sorry but the restort attraction has now been destroyed! I have a love for things like this and would love to keep the memory and park alive in our hearts. I can not believe the stupid council members who allowed a residential estate to be built so close and can only imagine that had a lot to do with its collapse. Man, I love this place. I've been here twice before it was abandoned and had a lot of happy time here. It's such a shame it was closed down, it's truly wonderful. But it's not at all creepy for me as I know it was only recently abandoned and I know what it was like before. I loved this place so so much!:(

If that's the same slide, (Astroglide), I think it is, it used to be outside of Wonderland many years ago, before it became an indoor market. You're supposed to go down the thing on a mat, otherwise you're not getting any momentum. I see the miniature railway is still there. That was there when that place was still a zoo!

3:06 They used to have those straw mats to sit on when you went down the slide. Once me and my dad found cans of polish under the slide that they used to clean it, so we went down spraying polish in front of us the whole way. Did nothing on our run but as we went down, our mats polished it up so the little kiddies that came down next went about 150mph and 5 minutes later there was just a pile of groaning humans at the bottom of the slide. It was a great day. (You can do a low-budget version of this in any park by taking the wax paper wrapper from a loaf of Warburtons and sitting on that while going down the slide, it waxes the slide so it goes extra zippy-fast afterwards...)

If you’re going to make your way through all of their videos you’re in for a treat. In my opinion when Chip becomes the fourth member that’s the best era of HOE, he really brought a certain je ne sais quoi 🤌🏻 even though he’s American he seems to understand the lads British humour. It’s a shame what happened to him but as you’ll see for yourself that’s why they don’t go into abandoned buildings much anymore, the new vids are still really good, just a bit different without Chip.

... the tiny trains are not a novelty ... they are sugar cane trains in queensland - smaller to the other trains and taking the sugar cane to the big trains ... the sugar cane tracks go off the main drag - the main tracks up the coast that my great-grandfathers and grandfathers built ... in bundaberg there is a lot of sugar cane and elsewhere along the coast there is sugar cane ... i have been on tiny trains such as this at the big pineapple [ fibreglass ] on the sunshine coast + brampton island off mackay in queensland ...

I wasn't surprised when it eventually closed. Nothing was ever updated, some of the rides had been there when my mum was a child, and were still in operation when I was a child. Gets boring after a while with the same rides, and increasing ticket prices to try and prop up a failing business.

JUZZY BOXX for the past 6 years pleasure island made no profit. Tbh it ran close too 1.5 million pounds loss per year. All the animals are in the process of being re-homed, mainly just the sea lions left now

hey, i live in the neighbouring town of grimsby and, while it was open, i regularly visited pleasure island. honestly the rides were terrible and it took like 2 hours to go on everything. the place was too small to spend and entire day and as a result didnt attract tourists nor locals who considered the £15.99 - £22.99 (dependant on year) entry fee to be a massive waste of money. basically it was terrible.

The park was nice, it was sadly just in the wrong location, connected to cleethorpes which is a total dump and not in anyway a holiday destination like the local council thinks it is, most of the seafront is littered with closed down arcades and shops, pleasure Island was the only good thing in cleethorpes now that's gone, there is absolutely no reason to drive over to that part of the East coast.

Great video yet another theme park going i use to opperate the terror rack and the boomerang there was always three of us doing the daily checks and it always involved one of us going to the top of the steps to do the checks and coming down the other side yes it was fucking high but job needed doing then 5 test runs first three was with blue water barrels inside the cars to weigh it down the two with any one of us in the cars with the water bottles inside too great times there but so sad to see it going

I used to go there often. Can’t believe you were there not long after it was closed. My little boy nearly got lost. He wandered off. 3:18 to the right of the banana slide. He was 18 months. In the play park. Just behind where you were at the start. That’s the boomerang loop. It was originally from Knotts Berry farm in California. I had been on it in Knotts. So was the parachute ride.

Pleasure Island is the shittest 'theme park' I ever visited, the fact I almost fell out of their rides twice is unbelievable. Havinghaving to scream for them to stop it because the restraints weren't holding me in and having to hook the back of my foot on part of the ride to stay on it's so bad so glad it's shut.

Don Avan I don't know how I can describe the rides, it wasn't a roller coaster. The man did end up stopping the ride since there was a sign saying if you need to scream for the ride to stop. But the over head restraints didn't hold me in properly. I'm extremely anxious when it comes to rides and it's restraints, I even have things I do before every ride like un-tying and re tying just because I'm so paranoid when it comes to rides. The fact the most of the other rows were broken should've been an indication but I went on anyway stupidly. It's really difficult to explain you'd have to have seen the state of the ride to understand me.

I went there with my family once. I was wating to get into a carage for one of the rides. The operator let everyone else into a carrage but me and my sister. He started the ride and we were both knocked into the fence. Everyone was screaming STOP! And the ride was shut down for the rest of the week and the operator was suied and lost his job. Me and my sister were rushed to the first aid room apart from me who was rushed to hospital with a broken foot and a sprained wrist. I have never been back since!

The roller coaster if you didn't know is made by the Dutch company Vekoma. The model name is the Boomerang Coaster. Looks still in great shape and they should relocate it or reuse it. I hope they do because the Boomerang is not made by Vekoma anymore. They discontinued that model a long time ago

this theme park used to be fantastic, especially for if you were on holiday cos there's literally nowt else in Cleethorpes. it was cheap and cheerful, we went the day it was shutting down (halloween 2016) and it was rammed with people. shame the towns folk hated it.
