Fantastic video, captures a lot of the beauty and the mystery of the place. I've explored much of it on foot. It truly is a Land that Time Forgot. It's magic.

Thanks for the ride down memory lane. I used to live in Flatbrookville in the 1960's just up the Old Mine Road from the Flatbrook bridge. That part of the road was also known as the Flatbrook-Millbrook road. Back then the lower part was a dirt road with "thank-you man's" Our post office was in the Walpack Center general store (near the beginning of your video) just down the road from the Walpack Methodist Church were the Minister used to do his early service before heading up the road to the Sandyston Methodist for his second service just past Bevens (now known as Peters Valley) where your video ended. Believe it or not, back then you could drive to Buttermilk Falls in a normal car. Many folks camping at Stokes used to stop by there and take pictures.

I used to go to the camp there for JROTC during the 80's. We even built cabins there and named them after dead presidents. I wonder if they're still around? I'd like to revisit that area. I do remember the bus taking steep hills to get to the place once we passed that bridge. I also remember a lake nearby.

The land that time forgot. Those roads are bad indeed. Makes me hesitate going there again until I get a 4x4 :-)

A family trip to Barnegat N.J. this fall will also result in a day-away for sightseeing now that I found your video. Pretty good camera work, nice scenery and things to see...but I wonder, with it scheduled to be flooded then not being flooded...was it a political capital for gain government land grab for profit,...or a planned watershed for a scheduled but not built metropolis due to highway planning or lack thereof ? I'm running a '97 Jeep ZJ / TSi 4x4 so I don't predict getting into anything I can't 4-Low and Go outta' by what you've show us here. Thank you for posting this, and please, let us see more of where you wheel over there, will Ya' ? Thanx and wheel safe BrotherMan \O/ Mr. T.C. Cross / aka: Tokie Kingsport, Tennessee 37660
