Your channel is one of my favorites because you don't just explore a mine, you explain things like the geology and the equipment and just cool little tid bits of information the other channels don't cover. It's interesting and holds my attention. Thank You for all you two do!! OH, and you have better lighting and cameras too.

Nothing sweeter than finding a place like this. Only thing to top it is some forgotten ore vein rich in gold.

Keep the videos coming of "abandoned & forgotten". You always show us the "un-seen" facets of old mines. Your "opening" story about a past mine that could have become a disaster for you Gly, was scary just hearing about how "close you came". See-ee, it can happen. Somebody was watching over you. As you move about, you're showing how great the mineralization was in this mine. Geez, at 17:52, lots more "dam" ladders that Gly always has to do to" explore further". 27:32, holy grap! that is some length of ladder! I feel bad for you two having to go back up. At 38:07, the light is bleeding out the "sparkle" of your finds. At 39:44, much better glisten. Super explore and explaining. Thank you for what you do.

I was 10 in 1965 and my parents took us kids to the Nevada state museum in Carson City. That’s why I’m watching this now at 69.5. I was hooked on mines that day! Now I’ve been watching your program since you began with this endeavor. Laura, thank you for mentioning the Nevada Stste Museum mock up mine in Carson City.

That 6 volt lantern battery is old. I think they were still around in the early 70s. You probably get the same output and longevity out of a modern headlight at a fraction of the weight. In the 70s I purchased a rechargeable headlight with a big battery you worn on your belt. It was from MSA and for use in mines. Didn't take long before it wouldn't take a charge.
