I think Darkseed might be the first game the Swiss surrealist artist H.R. Giger was ever involved with and unfortunately it wasn't very good. Not only was he heavily underutilized during it's development but Darkseed turned out to be one of those games that aged really poorly. Look I'm not good with these types of games but it's very clear that Darkseed is one that lacks a lot of substance and makes up for it by being difficult in the worst ways possible. Small, minute details are littered everywhere and ignoring them can sometimes lead you to a complete softlock. The entire game is also under a strict time limit and even some of the events are tied to a specific time. All of this together makes Darkseed a hellish game of trial and error if you're going to play through it blind. Don't get me wrong though, there are a few things to like about Darkseed. The small usage of Giger's own artwork really completes the games whole atmosphere, making for one that's not exactly "horror" but more so "strange" and "feverdream-y". And also let's not forget about our lord and savior, Mike Dawson.

So if you're new here or if you haven't read my latest community post, this video is very different from the stuff I usually make. The most obvious change here being the lack of swearing and apart from that this video is also way more "toned down". Normally I like to make my videos very light-hearted, humorous, and I like to present myself as being very "rant-y", this vid cuts most of that stuff out to be a little more formal. Keep in mind, another reason why it's like that is because I didn't want to repeat a lot of jokes that other content creators have made before me about this game even though I already did that in certain parts of the video. Tbf Mike's grocery store quote is iconic and the urn part is too good to miss. I think if I made this before Majuular I still would've made that exact same joke but that's whatever. Please let me know what you think, it'd honestly mean the world to me and it'd also let me know if I should start taking this channel into a different direction. Personally if you ask me, I kinda like the more formal style of this video but I also really feel like it's missing a lot of energy that was present in my other vids.
