I think there is a conflict with the BC (encastre). When you assign the Disc_Nodes for node set of Circular_Disc, DO NOT ASSIGN all of the nodes. just assign the inner node sets.

I want to ask a question, since you added element deletion, what if the force of impactor actually less than the strength of the material? is it sill break through the plate (since you added element deletion)? Or it will not break through the plate (since the force of impactor is small than the required strength/energy needed to break the plate?

The rigid bodies with the reference nodes contained in node set ErrNodeRefNodeNoRot1Axis have atleast one axis about which the rotary inertia magnitude is zero, and the rigid bodies have atleast one rotational degree of freedom which is unconstrained. Either rotary inertia must be defined at the reference nodes or all of the rotational degrees of freedom at the reference nodes must be constrained. S

Sir, I thank you very much for the video. In my project, I used johnson-cook damage and gave damage evolution - displacement at failure = 0.1 for Aluminum 1100. I treated the projectile as a rigid body. But then, after the job runs, the projectile passes through the plate but no hole is observed on the plate. That is, the elements don't get deleted even after I checked the element deletion check box. The projectile mass is 0.1 kg and velocity = 375 m/s

Thank you sir. But when I gave Remove elements Min = 0.2 the aluminum target (120mm by 120mm) goes in a haphazard fashion. It doesnt look pleasant at all. What can I do sir?

Yes. You need to write *Shear Failure 0.2, _ (try to align it with other numbers ) When you submit it will give an error, then you go and delete every line withe the word conflict and copy and paste (*Shear Failure \0.2,) the program will give the correct form. When you paste it that's it, don't do anything else after that you go and submit it.

This error is caused by the lack of required boundary conditioning at inertia reference point. Apply displacement/rotation boundary condition to reference point on rigid body U1,U2,UR1,UR2,UR3.This is shown in the video.
