Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I've got a doubt: I can't tell if the top bar (members 2 and 5) functions as one member, as displayed in the sketch, or it's been partitioned into two bars. Thanks in advance. Saludos.

The assumption taken in the truss analysis is that "there are only two nodes per element." So according to this assumption, member/ element 2 and 5 are different elements not a single element, because if you take it as a simple element, then there will be three nodes in that element. Hope you get it. Thanks
