Hey Chris! Just nabbed an E+D unit and I'm going straight to P2 with pops/bangs as my "sport" tune, with all supporting mods. For the daily, non-sport setting, I see you (were) running the 695 tune. Have you tried out P0 or P1 as your daily driver tune, and were they "better/worse" than the 695 for the MPG / daily vibe? Curious. Thanks!
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
I now run p0 on non sport and a custom p2 e85 for sport mode. Not much a difference between the 695 and p0 honestly. Still haven't tried p1 but I like having a dialed down tune to daily with

How is the phase 2 compared to the RRM unit in terms of performance you feel? Still waiting on my 4C coils to come in to see if it fixes my CEL issue so the RRM unit stops detuning itself... I feel this unit may have less issues being a flash and I love how the boost gauge at least appears to be more accurate. I have an auto X event coming up and I am scared with RRM unit haha
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
I had huge problems with my RRM de-tuning everything because of bad plugs and the weak factory coil packs. It definitely got better afterward but honestly it doesn't compare to the EC tune, its a complete game changer. the power is way more linear, boost is predictable and comes in hard, the most I've seen it drop near redline is to 22psi (from 24). I never boosted more than 17/18psi with rrm. I cant measure hp but my scanner saw a gain of 55ft/lbs of torque between the two units (stock made about 200 w/ mods, RRM 225 and I saw EC make 280). Stock and RRM both at 17/18psi (car says 18 but scanner reads about 17) and EC at 24psi. If I had the tune for Global Time Attack I could have closed the gap on the guy in 2nd (I was 3rd). But we live and we learn! Granted that was before coil packs and plugs but still there's easily a second or two difference between them on a track (at least!).

@HonestlyHonest, I am having the same issue as discussed on the fiat forum. If you are autocrossing, just get the E+D. There is absolutely no comparison between a piggyback and a proper flash tune. I would have never purchased the RRM Tune on it's own. I have it because I purchased an entire package from RRM to build an M1 Tallini car. I have full intentions of speaking with EC down at the dragon to get the E+D tune. As a customer who has spent more with RRM than pretty much anyone else; I am telling you the E+D is superior in every aspect. You just need to drop the ~$900 on it. Unfortunately the above costs have prevented me from being able to purchase the E+D this month, I will have to wait until April. If Rob, or anyone else takes offense to the above statements; it is just an ego problem. There is not, nor will there ever be a debate as to the massive benefits of a true flash tune over a piggyback in terms of performance abilities.
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
HonestlyHonest I completely agree with that! I went to RRM for everything. Coilovers, harness, all chassis bracing front and rear, all performance including ecm and intake and pulley and all that. Had only used EC for like 2 small purchases. Rob told me an fmic would hurt performance on the car... that was COMPLETELY wrong. Also after having both and being a huge RRM fan I can't say enough how much better the EC tune is. Day and night.

I have phase 0/phase 1 on my 2015 automatic Abarth. Curious as to what kind of city gas mileage u r getting?
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
Well I'm in phase 0 90% of the time so it wasn't bad at all, still really close to if not as good as stock. But I'm on straight e85 now so Its about avarage 15mpg at the moment
@krelb6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. I'm also getting 15mpg and using phase 0 practically all the time. I'm a very aggressive driver and my AC is on constantly. I'm so relieved because when the mpg dropped to 15 I thought I had installed the tune incorrectly. I love the extra performance and it changes the whole nature of the car. Thanks for your vids, also.
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
@@krelb not gonna lie I would've thought you should get more than 15 on pump gas. I averaged almost 25 on 91 gas with full bolt ons and pops and bangs, now with the e85 it dropped because the 40% more fuel demand. But I do know a guy who got 10mpg out of his Fiat with some bolt ons and a custom tuned madness ECM so it's possible😂 he hammered that fucking thing though, and the AC takes a huge toll on our cars idk why. But it's possible my cars just a freak cus I went on a canyon run with a bunch of A500s and A124s and they all ran out of gas by the end and I still had over half my tank (and I was the only one pumping ethanol) and I was not easy on the car I can assure that😂😂

I do mostly city driving and it's been hot and humid lately. What's weird is that when I do spirited highway runs, my gas mileage climbs to 26 mpg. Then back to city and it falls to 15.
@Redwhiteboostchannel6 жыл бұрын
@@krelb that's interesting, usually the 6 speed autos get wayyy better mileage.. And mines usually better in the city the 5 speed sucks on the highway its geared way too short
