In addition it is a miracle that this wonderful insect can fly: so small wings and a chubby body. I love this song. A love song to the bumblebees. Thank you ABBA! humanity's humanity's

@@SohailJafar1 Yes, I have also noticed that almost all of ABBAS songs are personal. They are very humble, honest and nice people, all of them. They are just like us, and they know it. They do not pretend to be anything else. They are very generous with their own tradic and embarrassing experiences. That is HUGE, I think. It is Björn who is writing the lyrics. ABBA is a gift from God. Broke up in 1981 with their final offering, the album "The Visitors'" and now 40 years later like the Phoenix from the ashes they come back triumphantly with this new gift for the world "Voyage". Their music is at once simple and complex, melancholic and uplifting with lyrics so beautiful they are almost otherworldly. Two things keep me going in this mad, mad world we live in. First,of course, God and then ABBA. I'm so glad I lived in their time.

That's Abba's magic. They can make a song out of anything they want, and they do it in the highest quality possible. That Flute is really beautiful. Reminded me of songs like Fernando and Move On since they use that kind flute as well. So we can safely say that this kind of flute is quite a part of Abba :) Really. I don't know what else to say. Is just that Abba's comeback was way more epic than any of us could imagine. To think that they originallly meant to record just a couple of songs just to give something to us after all those years they went separated ways, only to end recording a full 10 songs album. That's something we're really fortunate to have. The chance to listen to new songs from Abba and that they still have it on them to give us so high quality music. Real Music :)

@ExcelWithChris3 жыл бұрын
Maybe this will help (from Itunes): What each song is about (from Bjorn himself): "I Still Have Faith in You" “When Benny played it to me, I thought, ‘This is really epic.’ It's about us and the bonds we have, about the loyalty we have to each other, and celebrating the fantastic career that we've gone through. Or haven't gone through-there's a lot left of it, as it seems-but there are more layers than that today in that lyric, but that I want the listener to find out by himself.” "When You Danced With Me" “It's a bit Nordic, but maybe more Scottish and Irish. I lived in England for six years, between '84 and ’90, and I used to see these fairs that they had in the villages for the children. And that's what I saw before me when I heard the melody: a village fair, but somewhere in Ireland. It's about leavers and remainers. I grew up in a small town and I left it when I was 20. But somehow I'd come back to that little town and feel I have roots there.” "Little Things" “Benny tells me he didn't think of it as a Christmas song, but I, the minute I heard it, I said it cannot be anything else. It is early, early Christmas morning. The stockings are hanging right there and then this couple wakes up. This could be played for Christmases to come. And that would be great, because we want to own Christmas and New Year's Eve, like with [1980’s] 'Happy New Year'.” "Don't Shut Me Down" “At that time we were kind of getting the hang of what the ABBAtars would be. This is about a woman who has broken up and regrets breaking up. And she is going to come back and see if the guy will take her back. So she sits on a bench in a park and it gets dark. And finally she gets the courage up to go and knock on the door. That's it at face value, but I see it as us, as ABBAtars, knocking on the doors of the fans: Please take us as we are now and don't shut us down. It's a little flirt with the disco of the '70s, but other than that, I don't think that any of the old songs have had any impact on the new songs.” "Just a Notion" “It's from '78 and it's never been released in its entirety before. There's been snippets on KZbin, but we thought it's a great song and it has very good vocals on it. Benny did a new backing track, so the band is new but the voices are old. And it illustrates in a way what we are doing in the ABBAtar concert in London, because we will have a live band but the original vocals.” "I Can Be That Woman" “It's a country song, in essence. And a little gesture to the queen of country, as far as I'm concerned: Tammy Wynette. The good dog is called Tammy. There's a lot of stuff going into that song, but it's basically about someone who has come down from an addiction and finally come down into real life and is sorry about all the wasted years. But there's hope at the end of the tunnel: I can be that woman now. Only we know what is fact and what is fiction about our life experiences together. It's a kind of freedom that you get. With 70, you get that freedom.” "Keep an Eye on Dan" “Dan is the little child; his two parents are divorced and he is being left with one parent. All of us who have been divorced know what it's like to leave that little kid and seeing how absorbed that little kid is with the other parent. And he waves, or she, and you stand there and you feel, 'Argh.' I find it interesting to explore things that happen in relationships that haven't been explored before. I don't think that this has.” "Bumblebee" “I've always found bumblebees or squids as powerful symbols for what we might lose with climate change. It's a symbol of the loneliness we will feel when these creatures perhaps vanish because they cannot adapt.” "No Doubt About It" “I've known a few people who kind of flare up and can't help it, but then very quickly sort of get calm again and say, 'Sorry, sorry, I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have said that.' So it is this woman, in that situation she is incensed with her husband, who is very calm. He knows, he just waits for it. And in the end it comes.” "Ode to Freedom" “The concept of freedom is so intriguing and it's so different for different kinds of people. This song is so majestic. I could never say what my freedom is, because that would be received as, 'Oh, you can say that you are rich, you're famous. Da, da.' This is not my ode to freedom; it's about how if I ever wrote one, it would be simple. I don't know what it would be about, but I wish someone would write one.”

That is one powerful reaction to Bumblebee. I dont know why this has been the hardest of the new songs for me to mentally process. Its instantly pretty, the vocals are as devine as ever but, as you say, their is so much in this track to take in its not like listening to one song at all. As you say, theres the flute, drums, keyboards, harp and chimes all dominant yet completely pulled together by the vocals. Benny and Bjorn have written some wonderful songs since 1982, and Agnetha & Frida have recoded some great music and their are many examples of the solo work I love but, without discrediting anyone else the four have worked with over the years, its only when the four of them come together that the true ABBA magic explodes....and Bumblebee is like a cacophony of exploding fireworks, timed perfectly to this wonderful tune.

The climate and environmental movement has got its new anthem in "bumblebee". The line "another kind of loneliness" gives the listeners an existential perspective, expressed in four words, related to the climate change. It has already been noted by others that the come-back album also features the song "I still have faith in you" - supposedly bringing about hope to people that mother earth will recover. This sublime message is released "just-in-time" for the Glasgow conference. Surely that is not a coincidence. Bravo Abba!

So glad and grateful for the younger generation that is discovering ABBA! I find almost all of ABBA`s songs/lyrics are personal. Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Annifrid are all humble, nice, honest and decent human beings; down to earth people. They are just like anybody else, with all of their flaws, traumas, embarrassments, difficulties etc. They know that, and they do not put themselves over anybody else. In addition, they are even generous with sharing those painful experiences with us, so that we have the opportunity to feel our own pain - and heal it. They also share their joy and happiness with us; all their precious feelings. That is why their music touches all of us, young as old and everyone in between. That makes their music so GREAT, and SPECIAL. I think. What do you think? In addition, all about ABBA is natural. They could easily have artificially “fixed” the ladies “older” voices and other things, but they refrained from doing so. Their music it is genuine right through As far as I know, no other band is doing the same today; the temptation is too big to fix almost everything to perfection. ABBAs music is therefore REAL MUSIC. Today it is unusual, which makes them so BIG!

Took me a while to summon the courage to listen to the new album. B&B have not let us down. I think this is the best song on an album of some other quite good songs. This song just captured everything that's wrong with the modern world. In a beautiful ballad. B&B know the best singer for each song. They always have. Frida's melancholy (with some underlying "knowing" peace) captures the mood perfectly. I love the retro-Abba melodies in this. Especially the "Fernando-flute". Bees are a dying breed due to global warming and pesticides, increasing vulnerability to disease. The US depends on a portable bee delivery system that drives hives to farms to pollinate crops. Without bees, we run out of food. ABBA is doing what they do best to gently, lovingly urge we do better as a human race. ALL songs from Voyage are about life, what they have learned in their lives, and offer those experiences up in a very open, sharing, way. Some of these songs are hard....but that hardness is based in some way on their lives. ABBA has always been about truth they speak about it through their incredible gift of music. It takes all of them to make it work. They are truly exceptional. This album and the messages it contains is a heart-felt, loving way for them to give back. We could use a bit of their humble strength in our World right now. My opinion.....

If you are really so moved I can see, I admire your old soul. I am 55 yo and this album is my step backwards to '70. Thank you so much for your emotions and so much details in your opinions, your discriptions.

The first and second time I heard Bumble bee I cried.... Just said, "It's ok, is ABBA". We have lots of nostalgia...

I love this song & after watching your video I will l listen to Bumblebees again. These furry little guys are endangered & the occasionally visit our garden. I lost my mum at the beginning of this year & this song brought back memories of mum in her garden. I hope I see the bumblebees again soon as it is rare to see them. 🌺🐝

Who knew a song could make me fall in love with a bumblebee?

I loved it, so much depth to it. If music was food , this would be a huge picnic feast. Made me think of a Gaelic folk song ssung in a forest

I LOVE your reaction to this song! I thought it was cute enough at first but what made me truly pay attention to it was when I played it to my mum, and she cried. I now appreciate it as one of the most emotional songs on Voyage. Needless to say, Frida's vocals are amazing, but the strength in the song is its message. Definitely could see this becoming a climate change anthem, and they should honestly play it at COP26 and in primary schools. My only tiny criticism of the lyrics is the use of "he": worker bees (the ones you see buzzing from flower to flower) are female. Also, Frida mispronounces "thyme", which kinda surprised me as her English is near-perfect... but we'll forgive her as she's just so darned talented.

Thank you Slash! That is understandable. Yeah sometimes the Swedish accent can be heard through them both, but its charming and makes them uniqe ;) Thanks for the comment! :D

Just to address what you said at the beginning. Your videos are amazing and very enjoyable. You have by far the best reaction channel on this platform. Your humor, authenticity and charming personality come through every time. Keep doing what you are doing in the way you want to do it. It is not easy doing what you do, but you do it very well. Congratulations on all your success and I hope it continues.

I think a lot of people need to listen more than once to most of the songs on this album, just like with most of ABBA's songs, right?! There's so much depth while at the same time seeming so superficial. I can see the bumblebee heavily flying with its tiny wings from flower to flower. Great reaction, as always! 🥰🙏

Hi David Such a beautiful and meaningful song with really really beautiful angelic vocals from Frida she has such a natural rawness with amazing power within her voice even in her mid 70s she is an outstanding vocalist always will be I believe 💕 I know this song would have been written especially for Frida as it’s certainly reflective too her deep involvement and concerns in environmental issues 😉 and her humanity to all that nature provides being a nomadic woman
