You have the rights words to explain my reaction about this fabulous album. I've heard it 4 or 5 times since yesterday and i appreciate it more and more during each listening. I don't stop crying of course... I find each song very powerful and beautiful and i realize that it's (probably) the last gift they give to us, to the world. I follow and love them since i was 12 and i'm 59 now. So, ABBA is a part of me, a great part of my life. Since nearly 40 years, i've hoped for this comeback and when i no longer belived it, they came back...Thanks God ! Thanks ABBA for the wonderful times you''ve given to me. I don't like the word "End"...So i prefer saying : " To be continued"... And thank you, Given Toe, for your reaction videos...🙂👍

This is a message to the world that freedom is under threat and has been for some time from those who promise happiness and safety if we only give up everything and allow them total power over us. Currently the worlds wealthiest and most powerful and corrupt elite are openly discussing the best way to impoverish and take what is left of freedom from the people in the name of saving the planet. "If I ever wrote my Ode to Freedom Being privileged and spoilt for choice Then I fear that you would Be suspicious Of the cause to which I'd lend my voice" Yet people are not suspicious, instead they demand their own impoverishment and slavery because the huge media propaganda arm of these elite told them this will save the planet. Meanwhile those who demand it with their Islands, super yachts, private jets, fuel guzzling motorcades, lavish banquets, five star hotels and dozen multi million pound mansions give up nothing, in fact they have factually got ever more rich and powerful with each new crisis that takes our freedom and wealth.

This is spectacular! No matter how popular ABBA was and is, they are still under-rated. This is up there with the best of the best composers. Agnetha and Annifrid have incredible talent vocally and Benny and Bjorn are actually music geniuses. That is not an overstatement.

It's the most beautiful song I've heard released for many, many years. It's an incredible track and a wonderful swan song to a masterpiece of an album and career. I waited for more than 40 years for new music from ABBA, a hope that gradually diminished to nothing more than a flicker. I lived through the 70's when they made their initial impact and fell in love with their music, even when it was unpopular to like ABBA it never concerned me because I knew this was incredible talent, a generational artist. I never thought I would see this day, another album, new material, however, it did happen and I am eternally grateful to all four members in making this so. You see, when you've experienced such potent talent and you're aware it's still in the world but silent, the longing remains. To eventually discover they had written new material made me elated, it was almost beyond belief. The additional wait since it was announced in 2018 has been tough but we knew there was a pot of gold at the end of this particular rainbow - a whole album and WHAT an album. The more we immerse ourselves in the music, the more it impacts. There is material here that is timeless and although more mature in many ways, it stands as high as any previous work they've done. Congratulations to ABBA, you've made so many of us so very happy.

This song literally gave me chills. Bjorn and Benny compose not just perfect pop songs but everything in between and beyond. And Agnetha and Frida can sing and harmonize the phone book and make it sound ethereal. This is sumptuous, majestic, and haunting. The voices are also achingly gorgeous here and those chords!!!!! You can envision an orchestra playing this. A perfect ending to the album. My only complaint about it , I wish it was longer.

ABBA turned down a two MILLION dollar deal several years ago, and they built a special theater in London where you can watch them in concert in perpetuity. They don't and won't ever need any more money. It's a rich man's world, and they are living in it quite comfortably. Perhaps they, like I, are sick of today's (what passes for) music. It's like hot, humid, smothering weather, and ABBA is the cool, refreshing breeze that blows it all away.

Ode to Freedom is the jewel on this album. Starting off like a Strauss waltz and then segueing into an anthem, I can imagine throngs of people singing along to this. Would make the perfect closing to any ABBA film or stage musical. Is there anything else in popular music that comes close to this?

I've listened to "Ode to Freedom" some thirty times now, And everytime the first strings flow in... again cry! 😭 When the lyrics 'If I ever write...' come waving in... again I cry! 😭 This song moves me so; it's like 'Johan Strauss' meets 'Conquest of Paradise', with both girls' angelic voices... 😭 Ireland has embraced 'When You Danced With Me', for obvious reasons... choirs all over the world will embrace this one! It will be performed by André Rieu and his Orchestra from Canada to Australia, via Brazil and 30 other countries... 😍 'Little Things' has already become an instant-classic X-Mas caroll and decades from now it'll brighten up the world during the holiday season still... Listen to the whole album a few times more, and you'll discover more and more little gems in every song and musical arrangements! I've been playing the album on repeat for two days now: all songs are forever engraved in my brains, like any other ABBA song ever released, and as are you, so am I so very grateful for the best gift ABBA could bring us! I love ABBA-Voyage, and boy, what a voyage it has been: I was there in the beginning (1974) eventhough "People Need Love' had been a big hit in the Netherlands earlier, and 'Sunny Girl' by the HepStars had been a number 1 hit over here even earlier, I was too young to actually be aware of it all at that time... and I'm still here, at the end!? 🤔😏 What? Wait! ,,,the end, or maybe not? We still have the concert to go to (at least five visits over to London certainly), and...: (drumroll) ..there are still two ABBA-songs out there which did not make it unto the Voyage album!!! Björn and Benny confirmed this, but also stated that these two will not be released... ever! But hey; they both also stated, a few years ago, and a few years before that, that ABBA would not get back together... ever! So... who knows!? 😉 Anywho... thank you so much for all your comments and reviews throughout this ABBA journey (so far); It's been a Voyage to remember! 🤗🤗🤗 Thank you and keep on enjoying ABBA for years and years to come! Best wishes and nothing but good vibes from the Netherlands, and me, Eric 👋👋👋

I grew up with ABBA (then a teenager-beginner) in 70´s. I remember those times when we were waiting so impatiently for any new song, a new LP with letters ABBA on its cover. That´s why releasing The Voyage album is not about listening to the music only. It overbridges somehow all my life, waking up memories hidden deep in my mind. In a way, it´s a "heavy piece of melancholy" and it was very hard to avoid tears to drop down of my eyes (in vain in the end). So, as you mentioned. The Voyage is a gift, both for us elder and for the new generations too, I´m sure. Let´s be grateful for it.

A late night re-watching of the ABBA voyage. This song is wonderful. So powerful but understated and dignified. There are many things that make ABBA the best of the very best, but right now, I keep thinking that they really, really understand how an album works. From the start through to the end, they take ten songs, that, from a purely stylistic point of view, are a journey from the ABBA of the early to mid 70s to their departure in the 80s, and somehow they all fit together, and belong together right now. This is no easy thing to achieve. The way they leave the audience at the end of their greatest albums is breath taking. It's like we have been on a voyage, we've been there on their space ship, as we pass each new but familiar planet, and Ode To Freedom is where we depart and watch the vessel slowly head away from us. It's always sad to say goodbye, and it makes the listener feel that lump in his throat. But imagine a world where these ten songs didn't happen. and where we never all met each other from across the world, sometimes a little brittle with each others feelings, but for me, I can't say that I am anything other than blessed for all of this. Without this album and this voyage? That would be a new kind of loneliness.

"Ode to Freedom" (2021) is an extraordinary ending to what may be ABBA's extraordinary musical and group journey I believe that the last thing ABBA has done is to be aware of its Legacy and to be faithful to it, to perpetuate it to the new generations That is why I believe that this new album "Voyage", perhaps the last of ABBA, is a trip to eternity in the history of music. In particular, I feel that this song is sung by the four of them together from beginning to end, although Frida stands out strongly in the lower tones and Agnetha appears as a beautiful second voice in the treble, the men do background voices My best regards to You from Buenos Aires , Argentina

Having a new Abba Album after 40 years is something that we are so blessed to be alive to see it and listen to it. The whole album was 100% Abba sound. It was a trip to memory lane in all senses. This song Ode of Freedom is the closure Abba didn't have 40 years ago. 40 years ago they just went separated ways but without a proper closure to thank their fans, but now they got this chance to do it and went all the way with it. The strings and harp arrangement is so beautiful, so full of feeling. Yo can tell they put everything on this song. And now they feel truly free :) Abba returned on a time when we needed them the most, and I for one am thankful with them and with life for have allowed me to be alive to enjoy this album, and not only me. It's only the second ABBA song that made me cry. The first one is "Like an angel passing through my room". This is the 2nd one. First, because I had the feeling it is their very last song. And secondly as I feared we will never sing that one ode to freedom ever. But above all the song is too beautiful.

Being a huge ABBA fan I have been watching your ABBA Voyage reaction videos and they have encouraged me listen to this music in more depth. This album truly is a masterpiece - the composing, lyrics and vocals are amazing. Oh, and I've enjoyed your commentary too, thank you 🙂

I listen to this song so much and am amazed by its power. The instrumentation is so beautiful, filled some of the most sublime sounds in an orchestra…cello, oboe and harp. I love, love, love this song and could listen to it all day! I can totally empathize with your reaction.

A powerful, deeply felt, magnificent send-off that begs the world to listen. For who can, who has written an ode to freedom? This song should be adopted by the UN and played simultaneously worldwide and listened to. It is a masterpiece of music. ABBA never fails. I am in awe of them.

Ode to Freedom is very moving especially in the world right now. Another factor too is that ABBA are sharing their music with a new generation of fans who weren't around in the 70's & the music in that decade & the 60's was the best & so were the bands. ABBA ruled the 70's that's for sure, no doubt about it & what a year to come back into. Oh, how I was glad I was born when I was & was there to hear this music. I hope other bands can come back with a virtual concert like ABBA. Think it should be done by many others & will be successful. Know I'll be there when it happens, can't wait. To use a cliche, thank U for the music ABBA.

It was the only one of the new songs that brought tears to my eyes. A beautiful, hymn-like song with a beautiful message. Maybe somewhere in the subconscious, the fact that this is where the story ends, this is goodbye. Björn again proves that he is an absolutely brilliant lyricist. You know that line, 'I'd like to think that FREEDOM is more than just a word' is more than relevant in these dark, politicized times we live in. I'm playing it in loop mode at the moment. I just can't get enough of it.

They don't need the money and its obvious this was done for the joy of making music for themselves and their fans more than anything else. Special people indeed and its clear why their music has such powerful resonance, total geniuses! Such a joy to have them back for one last ovation! Class!!
