Their new songs are melancholy, sensational, magical and completely unreal wonderful. I myself am 60 years old and have been there from the beginning. They were unique when they made an impact and that keeps them. I still have all their LP and cassettes at my old turntable from that time. Legends never stop singing. ABBA has conquered the world again!! Imagine if everyone could preserve this warm feeling we feel at this moment and take it with us in the future. Greetings from Sweden!

i feel much like you do peter. i am 66 and have loved them from the beginning. i never thought this reunion would ever happen as through the years all of them said it wouldnt happen/ benny said in a recent interview he wanted to do this before they were all dead. i just wish they had done it sooner but am hoping they have 1 more album in them to make it an even 10 studio albums. and can included the unreleased track just like that. i cant be more thrilled and excited about the new album next month. what a tremedous gift ABBA has given the world just when we all needed it the most. to bring us to our happy place even if its just for a moment to help us forget our troubles.

As a teenager of the 70's Abba was always a part of my life (disco's and dating!). This is really something for the fans - and yep, they still have it in them, the magic is still there. A rare and special union of unique people, bittersweet memories, and story that still carries on. It is indeed in you. And, I have an open mind, understand they are not the same person I knew and loved. They are different, a combination of then and now, a dream within a dream, decoded (holograms!) Welcome home and I still love you.

This came up in my recommended. I am glad it did to see a toung, vibrant woman watching and totally enjoying ABBA's music. The fact she wasn't even born till two decades after they broke up is amazing. I think the album sales of Voyage are probably going to smash a few records (pardon the pun). I was lucky, very lucky to have been a slip of a lad when ABBA burst onto the scene - I was 9. I loved them from the off. Their music is mostly so uplifting, but there are darker songs especially The Winner Takes It All (my favourite song by ABBA). I'm subbing and hope to enjoy more reactions from you.

This song serves as a source of encouragement to the band members, especially the girls! The touring schedule on top of the recording schedule took a pretty severe physiological toll on the girls, especially Agnetha. Going through a divorce with Bjorn, the guitar player, having two small children that she couldn't be with. "Do I have it in me" to do this thing again! Yes, you do and we have each other. They were actually offered 3 billion dollars some years ago if they would go on tour for one year and play 150 shows. They talked about it and unanimously said "NO!" They are all worth in excess of 300 million dollars each, so this is not about money! Personally, I am tickled shitless that this is going to happen! Knowing about Agenthas' struggles it just never occurred to me that this would be even remotely possible!
@MeganDay3 жыл бұрын
this song brings such a warm, reassuring, and comforting vibe when you listen to it (especially with what they chose to do for the music video) it was absolutely beautiful! when you listen to music it’s so healing, i can’t even imagine how much more healing it would be to write it! them coming back at a time like this is truly just what the world needed. ❤️
@theloneranger87253 жыл бұрын
Great information for everyone, but I do have one small correction. They were not offered 3 billion, but one billion, which is still mind boggling. That info comes straight from the recent interview of Bjorn and Benny promoting their comeback. They will not release the name of the party making the offer.
@boosuedon3 жыл бұрын
@@theloneranger8725 According to Bjorn in one of the may recent interviews in rolling this thing out he was asked about the 1 billion dollar offer and he replied it was 3 billion for one year and 150 performances. That is what I based my comment on. Could he be embellishing? SURE, but I don't know. What I DO know is that is what the man said.

They've said this is a follow up to their last album, The Visitors. I'd really recommend listening to it, it's their best album. I suspect Voyage may displace that as their best album based on these two songs. Benny & Bjorn also went on to write the musical Chess with so much incredible music. Its most famous song, One Night in Bangkok, was a hit in the 1980s, sung by Murray Head. If you want to react to an exquisite song from that listen to the song Someone Else's Story. You'll see what brilliant song writers they are. They also wrote another less well known musical after called Kristina Fran Duvemala, much of it can be found on KZbin and all of it is incredible music.

I listened to a few songs off of The Visitors but i’d love to do a full listen through sometime today, I bet now that i’m a bit older i’ll be able to understand/resonate with their songs on more of a deeper level. I’ll make sure to add your song requests to my film list, it’s incredible how many masterpieces they’ve made over the years. their songs give me a great sense of comfort, it feels nostalgic & reminds me of my momma. ❤️ I appreciate all of the helpful advice from all of you passionate ABBA fans!!

Selling millions of physical copies of voyage is so cool. Hope they get it up to two it three million before November 5 when it is available for everyone. After that it will be tough to sell many physical copies Lp-cd-cassettes. The pre-ordering is insane and they are definately trying to get as many orders in as possible with several diffferent versions of colored vinyl and different cd’s. Just the cd or the cd with picures and stickers and other stuff if you pay an additional 7-8 bucks.

voyage will be ABBA's 9th studio album excluding gr. hits, live and spanish lps. i hope this isnt the last one . i hope they will do one more making it an even 10 albums. and includes the unreleased song JUST LIKE THAT. there are some "finished" versions out there but the group has never officially released it.. the new album includes their 1st ever christmas song called LITTLE THINGS.. which will probably be released as a single which will be the right time seeing that the holidays are right around the corner. i ordered 3 copies of the album all on different colored vinyl . one of those was a target exclusive with a different cover than the original version. the 2 new songs hit #1 on the uk charts but in the u.s. the songs only charted for 1 week. pathetic showing. now knowing what crap people here esp young people listen to and how they are missing what real music sounds like. no autotune etc. and how master songwriters and singers can create tremendous songs and lyrics and instant masterpieces. ABBA came back just when the world needs them the most. what an amazing gift they have given us all. so glad you dont feel the way young people do here in the states. my best from your neighbor in ny state.

Your Generation has taken ABBA's music and changed the meaning of the songs to fit a perverted agenda. Case in Point. Dancing Queen is a song about a 17 year old girl who loves to dance. Period. Nothing else. Also Disco was a very SMALL part of their career and 1 Album was dedicated to the disco genre. Voulez Vouz. After 1978 ABBA's music became more Pop and the Theatrical until they stopped recording in 1982. I am forever thankful I lived in Europe during the last years of their career's and I got to hear dozens of wonderful ABBA songs that never charted or played on the radio in the USA. ABBA even got political in the last Album called The Visitors. The Song The Visitors is a very Anti Soviet Union Song. The Song Soldiers is a warning to their country that if a war started between Nato and the Warsaw pact ever started that Sweden would have to Dance [Fight] also. They are pro Nato BTW. I let the music speak is as good as any song from the Musical Sound of Music. As is the Piper. etc etc. Listen to them all......and learn

something I LOVE about ABBA is how many times they would reinvent themselves and their sound (always experimenting with different music styles) that’s probably why I loved the Voulez Vouz song & album because i personally love disco music & ABBA’s fabulous, famous harmonies it’s a match made from heaven! isn’t it funny how music always has so much history behind it? I truly believe ABBA will carry on through all generations (I know one day when I decide to have kids, i’ll definitely show them their music) & tell them my memories attached to their melodies.. ✨

All very nice you reacting. Have you actually put your hand in your pocket and bought/downloaded the track? Your next video should be proof. ABBA fans are sick of these fake reactions. You know nothing of their history. Sick to death of people sitting in front of KZbin monetising stuff they should not touch.

I totally understand & can appreciate where you’re coming from… in my case however that isn’t true because i may only be 20 but i grew up listening to ABBA in the house all the time thanks to my parents! I grew up in a very musical household, I wouldn’t be surprised if my parents had old ABBA Vinyls & CD’s - I know for a fact we have some ABBA karaoke because I used to sing those disks all the time. thanks for taking the time to watch & comment on my video, any feedback and support is greatly appreciated! 🙂
