Totally agree! I was captivated by this song when I first heard it, aged about ten, while my Mum was playing some of her records. Even though it seemed like a bit of an "afterthought", being the last track on Side B, it shone out as the best track on the album, and I think this still beats even the most famous of ABBA's other (great) tracks. It's so beautiful - both words and music. I know it by heart and sing it all the time. My kids love it too! Great music never dies :) Thanks for the video!!

This is a great song, no doubt. I'm just realizing that I never appreciated how great this song was when I used to listen to it because it was, well, an afterthought. However, saying that this is the best track on the album is a BOLD STATEMENT. Every song on this album was so good. In my opinion, this was their best album by far.

I agree completely Barry. Magical songs, singing, harmonies and much more besides. They were truly transcendent. To think it all began in essence with them singing in silly outfits in the abysmal Euro song contest. At the time I didn't care for 'Waterloo'. But what magic they went on to produce. I just wish they would give us a farewell tour. I'm sure they would still sound good. As you say we will never see the likes of them again.

Actually, the last song they sang publicly together (before the 20xx reunion) - it was on some BBC programme, in 198x; there wasn't an audience, it was just rather pleasant around a piano - was also an excellent farewell: it was their "Thank you for the music". They sang this at Wembley in 1979 they were still at their height of their fame. But in 1980s when they divorced each other this song hits fans quite differently. but ABBA are still good friends with each other today even though they are exes now they can still be friends. A lot of people thinks they hate each other due to Benny and Bjorn remarrying in the late 80s early 90s. but they have since forgiven each other and probably have the best friendships ever. in 2016 they sang this song in their way of forgiving of the past and finding comfort together the way old friends do.

In their 1979/1980 concert tour, they always closed with it (and it's a very powerful closer); like The Seekers did with "The Carnival Is Over" in _their_ (50th anniversary!) tour in 2014. The last song ABBA sang together (in 198x, before the 20xx reunion) was a quiet (no audience, just the presenters) round-the-piano in a BBC studio, and was - fittingly also, it's another good closer though very different - their "Thank You For The Music".
