ABBA is acronim with initials of Their first names, two swedish couples: Agnetha (blonde singer) & Björn (guitarist songwriter) Benny (pianist songwriter) & Anni Frid 'Frida' (brunette singer) both couples separated before the break up of the group "The winner takes it all" (1980) is one of the Best Songs by ABBA and the Most sad and emotional too The best lyrics and the greatest performing with the amazing Interpretation of the lead singer The lyrics is a fiction, it is not about Their real life, although it is obviously influenced by Their own experiences and the realization of the legal divorce in the middle of 1980, even though They were no longer a couple or lived together more than a year and half ago, at the end of 1978 I suggest to see the next single in the same album "Super Trouper" with the brunette singer Frida in lead voice ABBA have more than 20 worldwide hits between 1972/1982: Waterloo, Fernando, Dancing Queen, Take a chance on me, Chiquitita All these songs are in your album recopilation GOLD (1992) that have much more than 1.100 weeks at Top 100 in UK Official Charts (first group singer or artist to do it) And return in 2021 (after almost 40 years) with a new album Voyage and new concerts in Londin UK since May 2022 (with ABBAtars of themselfes and a live band)

ABBA, which is an acronym of the 4 members Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid, were super big in 70s and 80s and still suuuuuuperbig today. Globally! They split up 1982. We had a stereo playing Abba songs real loud in the staircase, and I was sure we were going to get complains about it was to loud. But guess what, the people in the offices came out and requested ABBA songs for us to play!

Talk all you want. It is your reaction. ABBA is Sweden's most famous music act of all time. A lot of their songs have sad lyrics but upbeat melodies. Although they had their heyday in the 1970's, their music is still loved today and have appeared in multiple movies and TV-shows and have been covered or sampled by many modern artists. For example, Madonna sampled part of their their song Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) in her 2005 song Hung Up.

ABBA - is made of the 1st letter of all 4 band members' 1st names: Agnetha (pronounced: a-ni-e-ta), Benny, Bjorn and Ani-frid (also known as Frida). Initially it was just the 2 guys, then each 1 of them met 1 of the girls and they formed ABBA. In 1974 they represented Sweden, in the Eurovision song contest, with the song "Waterloo" - AND WON! Since 1974 they shot to world fame and stardom and had many many hits. The band broke up in late 1981 or early 1982. This song is actually one of their latest hits, if im not mistaken, from their last album.

I requested you check out some ABBA way back in 2021 i think? Back when you just started covering Sabaton. Suggested you cover them for some boost in views since they were releasing their first album in 40 years along with a whole 3d concert called Abba Voyage. At least you got to them eventually 🎉 Björn and Benny has written and made a lot of music outside of Abba, like the musicals Chess and Kristina from Duvemåla. National treasure both of them. ❤ So, if you ever start covering stuff like musicals i definitely have a few suggestions. For Chess theres "Anthem" and "Endgame", both sung the best by Tommy Körberg, and i have a version uploaded to my channel that i consider the best one of the latter song. For Kristina theres Du måste finnas with Helen Sjöholm, a musical about immigrants to america and the song is about kristina screaming at god that he must be real after all shes gone through. Theres definitely more than you think when it comes to the members of abba haha

There are plenty of amizingly good Swedish singers indeed. Being a Swede myself, I think part of the explanation is that it´s such a secular society that music has come to fill a profound spiritual role in society. You may want to look up names like Helen Sjöholm "Du måste finnas"(make sure to get the version with English subtitles), one of the best vocal performances any categorie, Jussi Björling (arguable the best opera tenor ever), Birgit Nilsson, opera soprano, Dirty Loops, Ted Gärdestad, Laleh, Tityo, Neneh Cherry / 7 seconds/, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Lisa Nilsson, Barbro Hörberg, Molly Sandén ("Husavik", you heard it on the Academy Awards gala a couple of years ago, Björn Skifs (Hooked on a feeling), Ola Magnell, Erik Grönwall ("I will always love you" for example), Miss Li, Roxette, Europe, Samuel Ljungblahd (gospel) Sofia Karlsson (trad.), Loreen ("Euophoria")... The list goes on. A personal favourite that has very little fame is Miranda Samuelsson who sings traditional folk songs in an amazingly simple and orignal way, being very young and living in our time.
