How do I just record one of the grooves already in there into my DAW?

You can just drag the midi from the top right area of the Abbey Rhodes gui. Drag it right onto the kontakt track in your daw. You can hit play in the plugin while arming the midi track. The drag and drop is way faster and more flexible
