Great demo of the plugin! Thanks for including the time stamps - that gave a chance to hear the plugin before explaining the controls which was very helpful.

Nice thanks, why do I get latency when I put it on the track?
@GreenLightSound3 жыл бұрын
It does add a lot of latency, so you should check your DAW's settings to make sure its getting reported correctly.

Green Light Sound - Enjoyed it. Bought it for 29 bucks tonight. As I say a well-rounded, fair, review. Some opinions: . I can't see a TON of use for this with niche, modern sounds except perhaps on vocals. It does convey a "classy room," but I don't know if EDM or low-fi jazz benefit too much from a classy room like Abbey Road as conveyed via its 60's reverb and echo! As Sound on Sound's review said it's appropriate for certain types of music. . It's tricky! You need to have pretty good ears, good monitors, a good room. I do find that the plug-in has "notch sweet spots." For example, I put it on a reverb send and found it didn't add much until I pushed it, and then just a wee bit too much and it's just drenching the sounds. As in unusable. I have to guess that there aren't such touchy sweet spots in the real studio. Hard to think you'd be driving Abbey Road Studio too hard with just a hair-breadth trigger on an effect! A learning curve, appropriate for some sounds (symphonic, rock) not others, and real defined sweet spots. Happy? Yep. Happy at 199 bucks if I paid that? Nope.

Can you put diffrent reverbs on every element or you just use one space for the whole mix??
@GreenLightSound2 жыл бұрын
I definitely use different reverbs on different elements of the mix.

One hears about this plugin being very "CPU hungry". What is your experience. In this demo, I saw the CPU meter creeping a bit.
@GreenLightSound2 жыл бұрын
It is CPU hungry. So much so that I often print the reverb to save resources.

Right, Bowers & Wilkins, B and W. I just said it fast so it came out sounding like BMW. Though I wonder what would happen if they made monitors...

It’s pretty lame that there is no pre delay
@GreenLightSound5 жыл бұрын
Maybe they were aiming for authenticity rather than features. There are plenty of other chamber reverbs that have a predelay.
@johnkeable53045 жыл бұрын
Green Light Sound I guess they couldn’t put one on it because it would make the STEED off beat. It would be nice to have that feature if you turned off the delay
@GreenLightSound5 жыл бұрын
Good point. Could be the best of both worlds if they gave you that option.
@johnkeable53045 жыл бұрын
Green Light Sound I found out that you can use the steed as a pre delay. It’s before the chamber in signal flow so you just set the milliseconds
@sammaddison20855 жыл бұрын
You could just put a short delay before the plugin and adjust it there.

too much talk and too few audio examples
@GreenLightSound5 жыл бұрын
Links to the audio examples were in the description if you wanted to get right to them. As for too much talk, the plugin does need some explaining as the controls, especially S.T.E.E.D., are so different from a traditional reverb. If you just want sounds and no explaining then just demo it yourself.
