Big tip! I know this video is 2 years old but for anyone who is new to this product I highly suggest Vaseline cocoa radiant it has Shea and cocoa butter for the base lotion it hold the drops well if you let them dry 45 minutes you can sleep in it and it doesn't ruin sheets even white sheets which is what I sleep on and I use clinique moisture surge on my face with the drops and I don't get streaking ever not even on my back which is an odd place to try to reach! Places to be careful of are ankles toes and obviously hands and I just wash my hands really really well except the backs of my hands and im a nurse so I have access to chlorhexadine soap so if anyone has that or can buy it, it removes self tanner oopsies like nothing else out there that I've found! I actually bought the tanologist extra dark mousse for like my whole body but I bought these drops specifically for my face and maybe to use with my body lotion as a gradual tanner after the mousse starts wearing off. I actually already use the Clinique moisture surge overnight masque as well, so that’s good to know how well it works with that!

I mix mine with the jergens gradual tanning lotion and I love it! No streaks, moisturizing and easy to build up. It is the most natural/streakfree and crack free tanning combo for cheap I’ve found. And it’s also as dark as you want it. Personally I love a really dark tan so I use the darkest jergens with the extra dark tanologist. There is so much product for so cheap and a lasting good looking dark tan! Plus the drops are the first tanner I can use on my face with no breakouts! I use it with vanicream moisturizer on my face and I love it.

I do the same. And I just use regular jergens lotion. My hands never turn orange. After I'm done with my body. I wash my hands and then add 1 drop if that to a small amount of lotion I mix it with a qtip in a cup. Then I put some on the qtip and add to backs of my hands and rub it in good over the top and in between my fingers. Same with other hand. Then I tag a rag and just scrub the palms of my hands. Lol. Sounds like a lot but it's really not.

I ALWAYS were latex gloves under the mit when self tanning and make sure to cover your feet when you’re using a mist! At the very end take what’s left on the mit it’s self only and rub on tops of feet and hands… in between toes and finger. Then use what’s left on the mit to blend your ankles and wrist

I don't know if you will see/read this comment, but I tried self tanning drops a week ago and it turned out bad! I watched this video again and paid close atty to your tips section, & re-did it last night. This morning I looked at myself and this is one of the best self tan applications I've done thanks to your tips! My feet and hands have never looked better and NO orange palms! I am putting my two cents in here as I am a bodybuilder that deep tans for my shows . I want to talk a little bit on application of the product for better results. First you must exfoliate the skin and then moisturize, then I would recommend A person help you apply the product. The helper can work in areas of the body you cant see as well as applying a more even coat . The helper should use latex gloves and apply the product with a mitt or applicator. The helper should apply some barrier like Vaseline to lips nails , bottom of your feet and palms and fingers to help to remove any product spillage to those areas . A hair dryer can be used to speed up the drying. If a second coat is needed it can then be applied. If using tanning drops I would recommend throughly mixing the drops with your moisturizer to get a nice even mixture of the drops

I followed this video for my first time using these and first time self tanning and it worked out great! Elbows were slightly over tanned, but the rest of me got a slight but even tan! I want to be considerably tanner so I think I’ll try again tomorrow with more drops this time.

What I did was add like 20-30 drops to my entire lotion bottle. It gave me a beautiful gradual and glowing tan, but I still had the same issue with my hands. But the rest of my body was a great tan.

Ok see I have opposite problem with this stuff. I don't hardly get a tan that's how I found this video . Liking for how many drops I can put in what size lotion. I can tell you this too. You do need to change it like crazy to make sure you mixed it in. Also you need to know what size lotion bottle to how many drops .

There's minimal directions, I put 10 drops into my BOTTLE of lotion! 😅 I saw minimal difference, but then my 10 yr old used my lotion; which she has never done, and she woke up tan 🤣 she's a ¼ Hispanic so at first I thought she just got good sun at recess, then I noticed my lotion was in her room. i use this!!! it stains when you don’t mix it with something, but i use it with a body oil and rub it evenly all over. it worked best for me with 4-5 drops per tablespoon of oil

Just tried these drops yesterday and thank God I found your video today. My hands are an absolute mess and the tan only developed on my face and hands and nowhere else! It looks fine on my face but I do have random patches and spots of brown on my arms and legs but other than that no color! Its pretty bad! I am def going to try this way and go buy a mitt! I am really fair and used medium and did 7 drops per section based on another video I saw of someone else using it that was super fair and hers turned out great. I will definitely be trying less drops and more Lotion and try to build up the tan. Thanks!

Oh no! A bit of user error here. I understand what happened in the initial application. When you use drops always mix into the moisturizer thoroughly or you will have crazy streaks. You can’t just throw the drops on top of the dollop of moisturizer. The reason it worked better the second time was simply because the amount of moisturizer was able to even out the spread of the drops, therefore no streaking. The *caution on the bottle should be to mix drops thoroughly with moisturizer. 😊

Did/do you apply it to your face and neck? That's the most important area I would be using it. I can't stand foundation and powders because, it makes a mess. It rubs off and stains your collars, hats, scarves, coats etc. Forget about going anywhere if it's raining or snowing. It's too much maintenance, inconvenient, causes breakouts, and honestly doesn't look pretty in person. :(

I applied the self tanner (not exactly twelve drops) right before I went to the airport & wasn’t able to wash it off for a good 12 hours 😂 I gradually got darker & darker but it was way more even than I expected it to be. The only issue I had was on my elbows & in between my fingers but I also used the darkest color possible since I am super pale naturally.

I bought this last week & have used it twice so far for a buildable tan, but not every day. I exfoliate in the shower, paying special attention to knees, elbows, tops of toes, and anywhere else that has creases such as the inside of my elbows. I’m by no means an expert on self tanning, but I used this per instructions, and no tanning mitt. I added a quarter sized amount of almond oil (normal routine). I probably mixed it in my hand 4-5 times to cover my body and only added 1-2 drops per mix. There was a slight odor, but nothing like other self tanners & after one application I saw my right foot was blotchy. I vaguely remember I was a bit sloppy on that side. I was able to exfoliate it to being pretty much unnoticeable the next day & since I was more careful around my feet. I wash my hands thoroughly after and repeatedly. You can also add a layer of lotion prior to application to those area that might get darker. After 2 apps I have a subtle tan. I really like this stuff. If you think you added to much to an area you can wipe it off gently with a wet towel after a bit. It should get rid of the excess.

Mixing with an oil is a great idea! An oil is probably more occlusive and spreads more easily. I will definitely keep this in mind if I ever try the drops. I might just stick with the mousse or water formulations.

well, i saw Kelly Ripa talk about it and how much she loves it, she said no streaks ...i trust that you have applied self tanner many times but...as a blonde why would you get the dark version to start when they have both light and medium? and why did you use so many drops? everyone in the reviews on their website says use a few drops...like 5. and it comes out great. for this product, less is best. glad you gave it a second try.

I think if you apply smaller areas, such as face then wash your hands and continue, will help the tinge on your hands! I felt slighty itchy, but not all over. The smell is super mellow, so also maybe the type of lotion that you mix, could change the scent! I stick to 6 drops on the face, gives a good median to start with! If that makes any sense that great! If not, still thank you for this review! ✌ (BTW -I am very pale!!)

@Abby Yung. Try Bondi Sands Tan Eraser to fix big mistakes. I’m trying this product but my OG. is TANCEUTICALS. I’ve never found anything better. I use their lotion, serum, & spray; can’t stand mousse products. It’s better than Lovinng Tan.I thought these might be easier. Oh & my secret is to apply with the mitt & I use GLOVES then add a little to the hands after the body & pull the gloves down gradually tanning the fingers until the gloves are off then try to wash just your palms.

I tried the medium drops and I think I need the dark. My torso and legs are sooo white the medium drops didn’t do it for some reason. I used 8 drops on the thigh and 8 on the calf down. Idk what I’m doing wrong, my arms and face look tan, My legs and torso look sunkissed I’m so confused.

Lmao. Love that I’m sitting here while watching your video… literally panic scrubbing in between my fingers with the little alcohol wipes that are for my eye glasses 🤣 Just applied this shi* all over my body like 30 mins ago and it’s 2 am so there’s no turning back now… (I mean I got the medium drops & I believe you got the dark drops so hopefully my results aren’t as bad) I literally got these to try an alternate to my normal self tanning mousses… ugh here’s to hoping I don’t wake up to a total nightmare tomorrow 🥹🥲🥲🤞🏻🤞🏻

I just tried using a plastic bag over my hand 😂😅 i worked it in really well so hopefully no streaking? If not it's jeans for me. I've never tried tanning drops or self tanner of any kind so fingers crossed.

ACM totally! Just wouldn’t get as dark as I like it to! Their light shade doesn’t make much of a difference on me. Works great with a tanning mitt!

I think it is it’s just a different kind of product that you have to be careful with! I don’t use self tanner on my face so I don’t have a recommendation!

These I only use on my face, and they work really well, but I only use 3 drops for my entire face
