Found your channel yesterday. We did this route in September and boy was it hard work (both aged 56 and fairly fit but it was hard going). We went up and down via the same route which meant negotiating the 'bad step' twice, didn't like that at all but we did it! There and back took us over 7 hours as my toes were absolutely killing on the way down (now bought some new slightly larger boots after that experience!) Will be watching a lot more of your videos for some tips as we are planning on doing the Three Peaks next year - over 2 weeks, though!!

My wife and I climbed Gros Morne mountain ( the highest peak on the island of Newfoundland) . The approach has a similar scree slope to Scafel, though more boulder size. Thanks for taking me to the summit of Scafell Pike.... I've not been up there for some 40 years... 😃👍 it's not changed much.... although perhaps a bit more popular these days. My old dad and me linked up summits to get to Great Gable.. and while at the summit of that the cloud descended in a sudden and we couldn't see our hands in front of our faces. It was almost dark before we worked out how to get down safely.... and we were met by mountain rescue coming up to find us as we were reported missing... 😄 luckily they hadnt come too far as we were almost back at camp. I think this is in my bucket list to do again. So beautiful around there. Thanks Abbie Best wishes...... Steve.

Top, Top quality video, superbly shot. It's not easy, walking on scree and shooting and talking all at the same time, but to also make it look easy, that takes some doing. Wonderful comments about climbing your own mountains, setting yourself a challenge. As for inspiring others to get out and explore, I can totally relate to that. It doesn't matter whether it is a mountain or a hill, if it presents a challenge that you can overcome then it is worth it. And for those that genuinely cannot do it, for whatever reason, well what better than to spend half an hour enjoying the wonderful scenery and suberb commentary that accompanies it. Inspirational in every sense.

I watch your videos and I got to say Abbie they are inspirational to those who struggle to get back on their feet, your information of the walk is interesting and informative. I watch your videos to keep me sane and know that I will be back on those hills again. My aim next year is for the Offa’s Dyke at 174miles I have a bit more training to do yet. Hi Abbie! Just started investigating through your channel. I been in the Lake District in 2019 for the first time and I love it! Scafell Pike was only next point on my 3 days rout but yes, amazing place! Effort worth absolutelly! But I have a feeling I had biggest backpack on the way through lol. I done in 3 days just under 60km in the mountains and even planed my rout before-I have to say- little mistakes. First day was obsolutely exhausting. I was so far in the mountains and get back to the car wasn't great idea, so only way was just keep going. Of course couple of wrong turns on the map compare to the reality didn't make me happy lol but in the middle of the wild you need make some decisions. Snapped my walking poles in 90 degrees in first day, scratched my phone, camping in the wild and SPACE! Love this place. Take care, Tom.

I did Scarfell last year. Really enjoyed the video! I ended up hurting my knee on the way down, partly due to the terrain being so rocky but also because I wasn't stopping to give my legs time to recover. I was with a group of annoyingly fit people so was trying to keep up..! Half way down i realised i was landing on my left leg for more or less every big step down and although i consciously tried to correct this i ended up with a sore knee for weeks after.. and it's still a bit funny even a year later! Had the same experience as you though, it's wonderful up there!
