25.05 I cried. I cried with you. Maybe about the recognition that life can be like this. For so many people. And we, like me, the follower of your journey and you, doing your journey can join. Through this medium. Thank you. Sadness, joy.. the feeling to just "be".. beautiful

Everytime I see you struggling with a mountain peek I just want to give you a big hug (and some chocolate), walk with you for a few meters, just to make you feel safe again. But then I'm always relieved to see, that you've made it all by yourself and I'm so proud. Weird isn't it? I guess it's because I work as a hiking guide, and everytime I see people struggle my instincts just kick in. I've climbed the same paths over and over again on the same hikes, because people needed a hand to hold, to just get over a very sketchy part, and I'm always happy to be that helping hand. Plus seeing the pure joy in peoples faces, when they've made it to the top and see what they've acomplished is absolute bliss. Hope 2021 will bring back a more "normal" life, with people being allowed back onto my little home island, so I can share the love for Arctic hiking, mountain climbing and of cause stunning views =) Stay safe my friend. And just keep thinking of the next step, when the path looks to scary. One step at a time, and you will always get there - pinky promise.

I broke down and collapsed in tears on Scafell Pike, 4 years after losing my father In 2010 having struggled to grieve for all that time. Nothing brings out emotions like the mountains. Absolutely love your video’s and you have inspired me to get out walking again and challenge myself. Truly character-building stuff. Wishing you all the best Abbie.

I always love your videos, a year ago they got me through some dark times and inspired me to get out to nature were I feel most alive. When I see you struggling with your mental health I understand, the one person who has helped me is Elkhart Tolle, I have listened to al his audiobooks and they really help, my head is in a much better place because of his spiritual teachings. All the best for the future.

The moment you go into the mountains without doubt and respect is when they are most dangerous. Awareness that you are in terrain warranting legitimate caution is not a bad instinct. Knowing dangers and managing them are the building blocks you stack towards the next goal :)

That looked like an awesome hike! The trails in the Coast Mountains of BC are notoriously steep but that looked even steeper! I was glad to see the descent looked more forgiving than I expected given the precipitous view at the col! I've had a few similar experiences in the mountains where I've had to sit and compose myself. I've felt foolish afterwards but a bit of self-kindness definitely goes a long way. I always really enjoy your videos - long may you choose life!

I did this in 1994 together with my dad and some friends. We took this route as a supposed shortcut to the Coburger Hütte. Little did we know lol. I just had my slippery sneakers, no sticks, nothing. I also don't remember it having steel cables back then. This was one of the few days where I thought I was officially going to die haha...

Being completly unconcerned 100% of the time wouldn't be wise. Mountain hiking can quite dangerous. People freeze to death on a usually normal and safe hike on a hot summer day. The weather can change from one moment to the other and if you get trapped in a cloud, temperatures can drop extremly within minutes. A sense of threat is completly normal and justified. It's hiking above the tree line.

@@d.h.1999 Agree 100%. Not sure how that is related to my comment though!
