The fact that Abbott and Costello made movies for Universal studios is what made them able to meet those famous "Universal" monsters. Fortunately for not only A&C and Universal monsters fans but for anyone who appreciates good movies.

Informative documentary!!! Someone did, their homework on this👍!!! Always loved 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein'!!! All the scary Bud, and Lou's are good. So you're saying that, the Andrews Sisters first movie appearance, was an Abbott and Costello film?? One thing though; in the writeup description you mention; "Slowly I turned, step by step". That is NOT an Abbott and Costello connection, but a 'Three Stooges' skit🧐.

Thanks aplenty. Glad you enjoyed it. The Andrews Sisters did one other film before "Buck Privates" and 'slowly I turned' is an old vaudeville routine. Several comedians claim to have invented it. A&C used in in "Lost in a Harem" in 1944 in the routine 'The Man from Pokomoko.' I'll have to check out the Three Stooges film. Cheers.

I watch "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein" every Halloween, but remember them more from their television show, which was syndicated and on a ocal channel when I was a child, than I do from their films.

If you're interested, check out the 3D Film Archive's Abbott and Costello restorations. They have restored both seasons of the TV show for Blu Ray. I haven't checked out these myself, but I bought both their Africa Screams and Jack and the Beanstalk restorations, and they are lovely.

You should do a video about José Mojica Marins (Zé do Caixão, Coffin Joe). Love from Brazil!

Thanks for all the work you've put in on this. I'm afraid we must part ways on the quality of the duo's 1950s work. I first saw "Meet the Invisible Man" when the 31-film Universal set came out, and I was pleasantly surprised. Snappy plot, some great gags (physical and wordplay), expert special effects, and a respect for the legacy. Not as good as "Meet Frankenstein", but still very good. "Meet the Mummy", on the other hand, was a grave disappointment. The gags are obvious, the makeup amateurish, and the plot just dumb. Regardless, keep em flying!

Thanks aplenty, and much appreciated. Once I finally get around to doing an invisible man episode, I'll give it a re-watch. Perhaps I'll change my tune.

LMAO I WAS EXPECTING YOUR SENTENCE TO GO LIKE, "Abott was the conniving, egotistical straight man while the rotund Castello played the dimwitted yet surprisingly athletic gay man." 😂
