I loved this movie! We sailed on this ship for a month in 2005 deep into the Wendell sea, got as far as 76/degrees south. We visited five rookeries and two Antarctic research stations. Absolutely fabulous trip. The photography and the music in this movie are outstanding. I would go back tomorrow, even having been there three times.

I was in Antarctica 2020. Love this continent and place. Was passing Antarctica circle and had swim in Ice cold water. My one of dreams is to go with such big ship and do expedition like this. Video was super amazing. Love the music and everything

BTW: Don't expect much until around the 8:45 mark. That's when they finally get to the colony and it's definitely worth watching. And I'm not sharing this info in order to come off as "whatever"(one would call it). I'm doing so for people that don't necessarily have a ton of patience, who may skip out after the first couple of minutes of not seeing anything. I know, Yes, there are glaciers, a lot of natural beauty around the area and all that. Not knocking any of it. But I couldn't have been the only person who clicked on it to see Emperor Penguins. So if you want where the colony is finally shown, 8:45 is where you wanna be.😉👍🏻

If you guys love emperor penguins like I do check out one of best documentary’s I’ve ever seen. It’s on Netflix. Penguins spy in the middle. They set up a penguin spy cam and get really great footage it’s just one hell of a documentary. Now that I’ve looked I guess they took it off Netflix? That sucks maybe you guys can find it elsewhere. Emperors are my favorite penguins. They are so cool and very very smart. The little ones are so cute and rely on the parents thru blizzard conditions

Ok u may want to clarify that this Isn’t an actual narrated documentary of the penguins, but just music over footage .... not that i think it’s misleading info in the title , yet it’s just not remotely what I had in mind when I clicked on this video to watch .... should definitely be labeled a bit differently to indicate that it’s footage being lumped together with overly loud , hard hitting , dramatic music ... it couldve made for a decent documentary in some aspects , as the footage is quite diverse and well captured , yet it’s just not something I’d wanna listen to with loud helicopters and whatever else amidst abrasively loud music ... it’s pretty music , just needs to be layered in such a way , where it pulls back in dynamics and aggressiveness , if ppl are strictly expected to watch it all , as it’s not evenly layered ... every sound breaks jn and out leaving an unsettling feeling. And I’d assume anyone wanting tk just listen to music and footage alone , would at least want tnings to be fluidly even toned with regards to volume.jts just too over the top loud dynamically ... and the music pushes onward with such a full force element , it’s in ur face loud and too much ... this could’ve been made into a narrated documentary easily , with the amount of decent footage recorded and compiled but it’s not impactful havjng simply a few words here and there typed across a basic slideshow of events ...
