Thanks, You are right "The family that RC's together stays together" She is so easy to teach I told her that she would have to run low numbers until I thought she could handle it. 100 mph doesn't mean a thing if I just overpower it hand it to her and by some unseen grace she makes it down the road and hits 100 then she would not respect it. I took her as far as the supplied gearing would take her when she can run multiple passes on her own like over 50 with me coaching then I will let her start experimenting with gears so if she does and will hit 100 that you and I as kids only dreamed of it will mean more. Every one wants gears and setups no work. I appreciate you thanks again

Grim Reaper Fireworks you are absolutely right. Even if you do give someone a gear setup. That doesn’t mean they will run that number. Their are so many other things that come into play. I’ve been doing a lot of testing over the years. I just really started finding out what really works lol. Power isn’t everything, nor gears. Don’t get me wrong they play a major part in the end result. Like I tell a lot of people, sometimes when you look at your car from stock, that may be where you want to start.

@@prentissalford You are absolutely right anyone can throw a lot of power in a car with some crazy gearing and run. My whole channel is about doing more speed with fewer cells if I run 8s we already know what will happen. I am also very patient I will run a car for months at the same gearing to get all I can out of it aerodynamically sometimes I can get 7 or 8 miles more out of a car without ever changing motor, ESC, or gears

Grim Reaper Fireworks yes sir your right. I’ve learned the same thing. Throttle control also, it’s just so much more to hobby. Not to mention amp draw, drag effect on your drive train. I nice easy drivetrain will work wonders also.

Im sitting here at 6:37am at the coffee shop watching this. What a great way to start my morning of speed runs. 😀 She did really well getting a 94 under her belt...congratulations to Abbey.👍🏼 I love that these new V2 Infractions are geared at 2.80 in the diffs compared to the 13/43 (3.30) of the V1's. Much faster out of the box with the speed gear. Arrma can almost claim the title of fastest RC car out of the box.

Thanks yes I agree I think it is the fastest production RC car and just a great platform for someone to learn on without all the engineering. She was on the stock gear because I made her run it at 40 for about 20 runs then 50 and 60 still great then upped the gear to the 25 and it tops at 94 I am going to let her get used to it at 94 for a while when she can make safe passes without coaching I will let her run it up

@@GrimReaperFireworks Nice yeah that was good to let her do many passes slow first.👍🏼 I'm back home now. It was a bittersweet day for speed runs. My Slash did a 122Mph clean pass so now Im official...lol. The 121 a few weeks back wasn't official. But both my Felony and Infraction only came in low 90's. I did 90 on the stock system before and today I was running a Castle 1717 and Max5 esc with 34/40 gearing! It should have done over 100Mph!? Im puzzled. I had the esc programmed. Punch on 5...I dont get it. And my Felony I switched the diff gear ratio front and back to Infraction V1 gearing so I could run same size GRP's all around. It had the stock motor and a Castle MM2 esc on 34/40 gearing. This one too should have done 100mph at least. I had decent batteries in both cars running 6s in parallel. You have any ideas why they only did 90's? I'm stumped a bit. Thank God my Slash delivered a 122 or the day would have been a wash..

@@KaizerTest if your Infraction is the 2.8 diffs and the 1717 is the 1650 kv motor accounting for wheel slip and voltage drop it should have been about 95 with that setup.

@@GrimReaperFireworks No my infraction has the 3.30 diffs. Its a V1 infraction. But I was running 34 pinion and 40 spur. The stock speed pinion is 27 and 46 spur. My 34/40 should have been faster I think?

Thanks Lightning, the best time I spend is with the kids. It is basically stock even still has the center diff only change is 5-year-old BSR double pink foams, 8mm connectors AVC disabled, the 25t gear pinion they supply with the car, and the dx 5c radio for the expo and better throttle. I think it is one of the best platforms to hand to someone and let them blast down the road
