The best tip I have for peeling eggs is to put them in an ice water bath immediately after taking them out of the boiling water. Keen ‘em cold til you’re ready to peel. When you’re ready, put the egg on the countertop and smoooosh, but not too hard. You should be able to remove the shell in a few peels.

Best tip for long lasting lettuces. Cut the lettuces in bite size and soak them all into a warm water for 5 minutes. Remove and drain only. Do not wash again with cold water. Put into a Tupperware with lid or Saran wrap it very tight. Will last 7 days without going bad. 😊

100 PERCENT, I PROMISE, IT WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME. Take a spoon to the thick part of the egg before cooking. Tap it semi lightly around the base. YOU WILL HEAR A DISTINCT POP. The pop is the sheath separation. IT'S SO FREAKING AWESOME. Good luck. I'm super new and embarrassed how many video's I've watched in the past couple weeks. Good Luck 🙂

Use the pressure cooker for the eggs. 3-4 minutes for a perfect egg. Shells come right off. Also you can boil your potatoes in it. 4 mins. High pressure. Just use the minimum liquid level for the eggs. 😊

I was going to suggest this too. You have to release the pressure right away and ice water bath the hot eggs but , man , the shell practically fall off.

Abby is the definition of "work hard, play hard" and Im here for it. Also ice water bath for those eggs will work wonders when you peel them. I worked in a ramen shop for a couple of years and I had to peel MANY an egg lmfao. I also reccomend some sake or mirin for the marinated eggs. Adds a nice little sweetness that goes insane with the soy flavor! I also gotta add, as a FERAL Gilligan's island fan, Thurston is just the bee's knees

A couple ways I get my fresh eggs to peel without disaster : 1. Take a small pin and make a small puncture hole in the small tip of the egg. Don’t press to deep, just enough to break the seal on the bloom, place eggs in boiling water with a splash of vinegar. Once boiled place eggs in ice water to cool. Crack eggs and shell should peel right off. 2. (Don’t laugh, this works). Before placing your eggs in boiling water take a teaspoon and gently tap on the large end of the egg until you hear a slight “snap”. This snap tells your the bloom has been broken so that when you peel, the shell just slides of. I hope this helps, I have chickens so I only eat fresh eggs and fresh eggs are the hardest to peel without destroying the egg

I know this video was 8 months ago, but here is my technique for no fail peeled boiled eggs: add a good splash of vinegar to the boiling water as well as a tbs of salt. Add all the eggs at once if possible. (I boil my eggs for soy eggs 6.5 minutes). When finished boiling, pull them out and place in an ice water bath. Leave in the ice bath for 10 minutes. To peel, tap all over with the back of a teaspoon. The shells will easily slide off the eggs. Note* there is something about the vinegar and salt that keeps the shells from cracking while boiling and makes them easier to peel.

I've found the egg steamer makes peeling eggs a lot easier. You pierce the top of the egg and it opens a space where it's easy to grab the shell.

egg peeling tip: do it under running cold water, could use a spoon to slip between the egg and shell rotate. takes a bit of practice but its easy once you get it. also if you have a vacuum food sealer, vac seal the eggs with the soy marinade to penetrate flavor quicker.

On your egg dilemma, take each egg skinny end down. Use a soup spoon and take the soup spoon and tap it on the larger end of the egg until you hear it pop. That will be the membrane breaking. Then boil or steam them up. When they are done they peel easily. It kinda works like an egg poker. Except it works better.

Pepin method: prick a small hole on the large side of the egg, (i use the end of the knife held between my fingers to control depth and size of hole) then in just boiling water I dunk them for 7 minutes for runny jam yolk. This method provides the most easiest peel I’ve ever had to deal with but I will run them under a cold stream of water (aiming the water between the shell and egg itself) to ensure a good lookin egg comes out every time

I've been eating hard-boiled eggs my entire 66 years of life in one form or another, and recently discovered the only way to cook them that makes peeling a breeze and actually works every single time: steaming! Yep, simply steaming them. I do a dozen at a time, but you don't have to. I put the steamer basket in the pot, put the eggs in, and bring it to a steam, and then let them steam for 17 minutes for the perfect hard-boiled egg, and a little less for a jammy Ramen egg. I can't get over how easily the peels just slip right off of every single egg every single time, and I'm never doing it any other way again for the rest of my life!

Those hard boiled eggs-after draining from hot water, shake the pan so eggshells crack. Start peeling at the fat end of the egg. Hold the egg under a slow flow of cold water from the tap while peeling. Let the water get between the egg and the membrane. Slowly peel off the shell. You can speed up as the water pushes the peel off the egg.

I didn’t read all the comments, but my trick for peeling eggs I saw online from an egg farmer. You take a small spoon, and you gently tap the rounded end of the raw egg where the air pocket is, you’re not trying to make a crack, just gently tap until you hear a pop, the sound you hear is a very distinct. Once that happens the shell will come off of the cooked egg very easily.

Easy peel eggs: before cooking, with a metal spoon, lightly tap the top of the wide end of the egg. Tap gently till you hear a "different" crack. Believe me, you'll hear it. This releases the membrane and makes it infinitely easier to peel after boiling. I also use an egg cooker but cook according to your directions.

The BEST advice I got for peeling eggs is to crack them just a little bit on one side and get a hold of the clear membrane under the shell (not like you did on the counter bcs if the shell is cracked in little pieces it's harder to get the membrane and you end up using fingers and nails to remove those lil pieces of shell removing egg whites with it) so once you get the membrane up you take the egg under cold running water and you keep peeling the shell making sure to always get the membrane first. The shell should get off so fast under the water ✨️ I used to hate peeling eggs before this hack 😂 sorry if something is confusing English is not my first language ❤

Egg peeling tip: Shock the eggs. Immediately after boiling them in salted water with a hit of white vinegar, put the eggs in ice water. Then find the bubble which will be at the top or bottom of the egg and crack at that spot. Tap the egg to find the hollow spot, it's not big. Also, use eggs closer to the expiration date as those peel easier. Then you can peel by hand, or their is a contraption you can buy that looks like a collapsing cup, but it takes the peels off for you
