God I wish I was back in the 80s on a Saturday morning again. I used to get up at 7AM and sneak downstairs and close the door to our guest room and turn on the television and sit there until noon when the cartoons ended. (Of course I ate breakfast) . But we were so lucky to have this on Saturday mornings. I’m going to cry now . Lol

"These kids today dont know about playing outside and using their imaginations .." Because the generation that grew up on this stuff (Gen-X, AKA 'Us') used gadgets as babysitters--and everything good like this stopped when us kids turned into adults, and we didn't want to let go of our childhoods. We hijacked everything to "keep" it instead of passing it along to the next generation. There's no such thing as a McD's playplace anymore, and that's not the younger generation's fault. WE wanted to keep being kids; WE put TV and fun food spots, things that manufacture childhood memories in our pockets and forced them to become more grown-up to justify ourselves still enjoying those things. Us, not the kids--but the kids who came after us paid for it, and now our gen is going the Boomer route, looking down on the 'kids these days' as if they had ANY hand in how things have come about. We are why this stuff is extinct, and it's time we got humble instead of being the same bitter old people who'd put US through that crap.

This has become my FAVORITE channel. I was 10 years old in 1983. Wow!!!! This takes me back to happier times filled with innocence, animation, toys, and when parents were your whole world. And the only stress was when your favorite cartoons came on at the same time on two different channels. So we had was get up to change the channels back & forth. Unless we were lucky and had a remote. That, and getting the new toys we'd see from the commercials they'd show us. All this goodness while scarfin down sugary cereal with no worries. Then once it was all over, and American Bandstand ended, heading outside for almost the entire day. Riding your bike with friends, talking about the shows you just watched that morning. As you head into 7-11 for a slurpee, and play some Ms Pac-Man. Or sometimes getting lucky, and going to the store on Saturday and hitting to toy isles. Then scoring the toy or item you wanted. TOTAL HEAVEN!!!!! This channel is as close to a time machine as I'll ever get to experience. Thank you, Thank you.

Waldo, on the animated Rascals and Gloria on Richie Rich, were voiced by the actors that voice Milhouse and Bart respectively, on the Simpsons. I will say that it was bad animation on the Pac-Man toon, because he ate the power pellets and the ghosts turned to their edible Bluish-Lavender color. However, in the next cel frames (I thought the power pellets lasted 15-30 seconds depending on the level in the video game) the ghosts are back to their regular colors, and according to the game, anytime Pac-Man touched them in their regular colors, he deconstructs, yet here he catches them and touches them, but he doesn't disappear. Lol 😝😕
@JHVipond3 жыл бұрын
You're right about Gloria, but as far as I know, B.J. Ward (the voice of Waldo and Butch) has not done character voices for "The Simpsons". As far as "Pac-Man" is concerned, the rules of the arcade game don't necessarily apply to the animated cartoon.
