Those times were great times back then because you had in some locations over 6 to 7 hours of wonderful cartoons to watch back then. Today we have way too many infomercials, news and educational shows that nobody watches in comparison to wonderful cartoons that we had back then. I just wish we still had a channel today still showing these wonderful cartoons because there is still a huge demand in the marketplace for that type of content. I believe Goldie Gold was a comic strip back then that appeared in Sunday newspaper too. Those cartoons and commercials that appear in this video are timeless and still wonderful to see today.

I was 15 too in December of that year. I was hanging out with the wrong crowd at that time, and doing things a 15 year old probably shouldn't have been, but I still watched cartoons on Saturday mornings, all the way up probably until at least the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon series came out and I left for college at 17. I have fonder memories for some of the older Saturday morning fare, like the Bugs Bunny Road Runner show, the Kroft Supershow and all the Kroft shows (man, even now when I hear any of the theme songs my heart skips a beat!). Now I understand why the old folks used to call them "the good ole' days".

Ok, I'm going on a rant about this. First Thank You for posting these cartoons. I got emotional while watching these and went outside to sit on my yard swing and just reminiscent about the past. I was an eighties child and damn those were good times. I'm going to reiterate everybodies sentiments that pretty much already has been said. I believe the reason that we are so passionate about cartoons is that they represent a sense of innocence that we have lost over the years. And now sadly, things have become more serious. Even before all the events of 2020 came about. I remember watching an interview that Adam West had about making a 2nd Batman movie. And the reason why it didn't go through was because the social norm was becoming more serious and less playful. It wasn't just the cartoons that gave us great memories but also the toys, G. I. Joe, Mask, He-Man, Ghost Busters, Transformers, Wee Wee's Playhouse just to name a few. And the places we used to go to. Such as Comic book stores, VHS rental stores, Drive-in movie theaters, Toys R. Us, (Showbiz pizza back in my day.) Going to these places was what gave us memories. I remember going to fairs and carnivals and there were workers dressed in cartoon mascot characters such as Scooby, Batman, Spider-Man, and Yogi bear, handing out candies for kids. You don't see that kinda thing these days. I think we should all take a moment or two and say thank you to all the cartoon producers from Disney who made Mickey and Minni, To the WB Merrie Melodies who made Bugs Bunny, to the Hanna Barbera team. Also, if these cartoons meant something to you as they do to me. I strongly recommend all the parents, out their older brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts and whoever else grew up with these great cartoons, to show them to the younger kids these days. There are free websites that you can stream them for free on such as kiss cartoons and Sockshare. Perhaps consider renting a movie screen projector and portable popcorn maker and set it up in your backyard and have friends and family over for a cartoon watching party. Thank you again for the memories.

Ya I couldnt figure out why I dont feel the same. Like not much has changed I can still sit down and watch these cartoons. Why cant I get that feeling back though I wondered why the longing for the past always and what used to be... then I remembered my mom is dead now. All my friends grew up and moved away. There are not the same people in my life that used to be. Thats why you cant go back or you can never feel that same way again that used to feel. Its the people around me then and the time of life that made it all special.

Thanks for uploading this 😀 I used to feel so sad for my kids on Saturdays because they never got to experience the joy of Saturday morning cartoons and then the afternoons of play 😪. Unfortunately, game systems took over. Had all i could do to get them outside to play for even an hour! One of my worst regrets was giving in to getting one of those.

30:31 As good as the original Budweiser commercial (Here comes the King), is this memorable tune. When I was a kid, this gave me goosebumps. Iconic commercial tune.
