This was good year for Saturday morning all around. The Superfriends return to ABC after being missing the season before. There was episodes made, but there were not shown in the USA. Mighty Orbots was one of the best animated shows I had seen at this point. It blew me away and it still does!! For me- CBS -Dungeons & Dragons, NBC-Spiderman & The Incedible Hulk & Mr. T . Thanks for this!! Also loved the GI JOE & TRANSFORMERS Cartoon shorts for the commercials!!

I had never actually watched an episode of Turbo Teen. When I was a kid I saw the commercials and realized it wasn't "Transformers" or anything close to it and never watched it. (until today). Decent, typical~ love your channel.

Thank you so much for sharing these Saturday morning shows as well as the commercials. Of the 3 big networks we had a hard time getting good reception on ABC station, so it was hit or miss trying to get it good enough to watch in our house. I was not even aware of Wolf Rock TV. Interesting to see it all these years later. I like that they did some music trivia on the artists. I remember Kidd Video more from NBC. I still like the theme song and opening of the show. Of the other shows on this lineup, I remember the Super Friends, Scooby Doo and the Weekend Specials. I didn't like this incarnation of Scooby because it had Scrappy. I did like the Super Powers Show and the Weekend Special was sometimes fun to watch. First time I have ever seen the Dragon's Lair cartoon. To be honest I didn't really care for it. Even at a young age I thought the cartoons based around video games were pretty awful. The only cartoon I saw that was originally a video game I liked was Earthworm Jim. Now that was a great funny cartoon! I did like the music opening for Pac-Man, but not the actual cartoon. I was surprised to see all the commercials with different cereals that were linked with video games. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

So cute the carebear commercial has the little actress from small wonder named Tiffany Brissette. She was the little cutie at the beginning of the commercial saying Bedtime Bear. This commercial brings back so many memories and I miss the 80’s. #GenX❤

Omg! I was 8 when these cartoons were out! I remember watching these with my little brother and trying to imitate the voices. My mom kept the transformer- the Optimus Prime - that was in the commercial bc it was his fave. ❤

2:09:33 - WOLF ROCK TV (ABC, September 8, 1984 - October 20, 1984; 1 season and 7 episodes) - Wolfman Jack hosts a rock music TV program with three teenagers, Sarah, Sunny and Ricardo, while playing some real-live action music videos. A parrot named Bopper also appeared as their comic relief pet. They had a manager, Mr. Morris, who shows dislikes towards the kind of music that Jack showcases. It's like the animated version of both MTV and America's Top 10.

1:02:57 - TURBO TEEN (ABC, September 8, 1984 - December 1, 1984; 1 season and 13 episodes) - Turbo Teen is about a teenager named Brett Matthews who swerves off a road during a thunderstorm and crashes into a top-secret government laboratory. There, he and his red sports car, a Pontiac Firebird Trans-AM are accidentally exposed to a molecular beam, invented by a scientist named Dr. Chase for a government agent named Cardwell. As a result, both Brett and his car become fused together. Brett gains the ability to morph into the car when exposed to extreme heat and revert into his human form when exposed to extreme cold. With this new superhero power, Brett, along with his girlfriend Pattie (a freelance reporter), his best friend Alex (a mechanic who calls Brett "TT"), and his dog Rusty goes on crime-fighting adventures and solve other mysteries. A recurring subplot involves Brett, Cardwell and Dr. Chase's search for a way to return Brett to normal. When I was watching Wolf Rock TV, I happen to read the closing credits and saw that Kidd Video was in fact apart of this show which I was a cool way to promote both shows.
